Went to see Alexander last night. They showed the preview for Assault On Precinct 13, it looked kind of interesting. In fact it could be VERY cool if it's not watered down PG-13 stuff. Though I got a new Shaft/S.W.A.T/Bad Boys vibe from it. I just hope it's nothing like BAD BOYS ugh.

While I like Fishburne in the trailer, this remake just looks lame. The best part of the original was they were under siege by hundreds of gang members. And not just any gang, but this bat shit crazy gang. They killed a little girl! For no reason! Just because they could!

I don't find five police officers nearly as scary as a swarm of crazy gang members.

Speaking of how is the original?

Of the admittedly few Carpenter movies I've seen they're either cool as hell to utter shit, no in between. They Live, Little China and The Thing are awesome. Vampires and Ghosts of Mars(although I don't remember too much of this one) not so much. Never seen Precinct or the Escape movies.

Oh yeah Prince of Darkness. I only saw a part of this, but it was creepy as HELL. It actually gave me the shivers. Especially that "Pray For Death" scene.
