For all Canadian smokers, I just found out my local Sunoco sells Camels. Last time I had Camel's before I bought me a pack today was in Mexico, and boy oh boy they are so much better than your average Canadian cigarette. A lot more smoother, and it actually tastes like tobacco. A bit more expensive, at $9 for 20 cigs.

Now, I've never seen them sold here before, so is there a reason why there's American tobacco here all of a sudden? I saw Sunoco sold Winston's too.

Camel as well as Marlboro are all owned by Philips Morris, I believe. That means that they have no problems adding chemicals to their cigarettes to give them a greater addiction factor as well as "better" taste. They make their money now mostly on export...in Mexico, for example, EVERYBODY smokes...even the children who are heavily advertised to.

I'm 35 and I quit smoking 5 years ago and it isn't until recently that my lungs are finally starting to clear out completely. I swear to God that if I EVER meet someone from Philip Morris, he better be in good shape because I'm gonna kick his ass! They're nothing but legalized drug dealers...fuckin' scumbags.

They've always sold them in Canada as far as I know, which is at least 3 years back. And they actually cost about the same or less as regular Canadian brands like DuMaurier as well (unlike the Marlboros, even though it's the Canadian version) so you're getting ripped off buying them for $9.00. You can get them at many regular variety stores, at least here is Southern Ontario. I was a big fan of Camel Lights back when I used to smoke. They have a strong, almost cigar like taste to them.

Not a smoker, but when I worked at a gas station way back in school, we sold Camels there. That was probably 91-92.

Camels are stronger than regular cigarettes... good once in a while... not good often.

I get them at like $7/pack where I am in toronto.

Ultimately... Players Silver > All

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Swedish snus (snuff) contains enough nicotine to put the average big league smoker to rest and it's to be considered a very healthy option when compared to any kind of smokes.

This is what my dad, brother, best friend, second best friend and his father's using:

"General
Sweden's largest and oldest tobacco snuff brand with over 100 years old tradtion. General snuff is rather dark and strong. The flavour is a bit rounded and rich. Crafted from selected tobaccos, General's pure, elegant aroma – with a hint of citrus – and deep, rich taste speak of uncompromised flavor and tradition. One of Swedish Match's oldest recipes, General is Sweden's leading brand of Swedish snus, and available in four varieties: loose, portioned, mild portioned, and mini portioned."
