Are you doing the fast for medical/diet reasons?

Diet (and a small hope it might help with mental health), though I plan to continue fasting for health even after I lose the weight. I'm doing 36 hours once a week, thinking about doing a second day once I get used to this - maybe an easier 24 hours fast.

Did you speak to your GP beforehand?

I only ask because I'm now in a position where I need to lose some weight, and fast. I walk my 10,000 steps a day (going upwards of 15,000 in the week, and have hit 30,000 during the weekend) but the weight doesn't seem to shift.

No, just read about it online and thought if so many people have benefited from it and it's recommended by many doctors it can't be that big of a risk.

I might give that a go. It couldn't do any harm to try it for one day a week, then slowly move up. Carbs are going to be the one thing I miss most. Man, I love me some carbs.

I once slipped on some wet ice while walking downhill and did a forward roll as I fell, managing to roll through the impact and finish up in a jumping motion landing perfectly on my feed in less then a second.
