you'll pretty much be blacked out by the time you've consumed enough thujone to feel its effects

absinthe has a pretty damn abv

I can recommend kavarna velryba, a student-y place/restaurant. Good food and the beer costs around 1 euro.

That's basically a myth.

I had some decent meals, but it isn't really a great food city. Our best meal was a fancy Czech place that was wood paneled and overdecorated. Can't remember the name. Beer is good though.

As is simply wandering around.

I believe it is the real deal, and it's not. There is thujone in it but you will certainly be off your face due to the alcohol before you experience any hallucination or euphoria. Also it's basically a tourist industry. Still fun though.

No clue about bars or clubs. I went several times over the years and there always have been bars in abundance.

You can get by with English pretty well.
Food is pretty meh.
But you don't go to Prague for the food.

Au Gourmand at 22 Rytirska had great dessert. The best gelato I've ever had, and I've been to Florence.
