Yup, pretty much. I could hardly believe it if I didn't see it for myself. Having little invested interests in the movies nominated for best picture, I found these Oscars damn entertaining, Jon Stewart, out of context cowboy movies, and this? Just crazy fun!

Why do you think Queen Latifa was announcing it? I mean that sounds a tad racist maybe...but it makes you think about it. Almost like it was planned *strokes chin*. I really didn't care about any of those songs in that category, so for pure humor sake I'm totally glad they won and I absolutely LOVED thier acceptance speech. Perhap it was yet another homage to Altman's overlapping dialogue but done better than the trainwreck that Streep was.

That's an amazing amount of hating going on in that post. I am happy for them. It is something different. The Academy Awards can appreciate a different kind of song that actually fits the movie perfectly. I guess that we should just go back to Barbara Streisand, Christopher Cross and Kenny Loggins winning the award every year, maybe that will make you happy.

But honestly I am shocked and amazed.
