I think DS has a ton of potential for some really innovative games to come through. In particular, I'm interested to see how Square uses the touch screen.

There are those developers who will push mediocre map functions on the bottom screen though, just to get their shit on the latest Nintendo handheld as quickly as possible. Frankly, I'm disappointed in how Nintendo chose to use the bottom screen for the flagship launch title. It doesn't exactly encourage third parties to use the touch screen in innovative ways. :\

Plus I'm loving how gorgeous GBA games look and sound on DS.

. They're known for having shitty launch titles. It usually takes 2 years after launch for a decent game to come out. :lol Yeah I would also wait for Advance Wars to come out before picking up a DS.

I'd wait a bit on the DS; it will likely have some sort of price break in March to combat the PSP launch. In addition, today's games are nothing special. It's great for playing GBA games (although the triggers and slightly weighty feel contibute to a personal feeling of awkwardness).

These things aren't collectibles, so take advantage of the favorable resale situation while you can.
