Exactly, you haven't played enough on live to know that the plasma pistol/ battle rifle combo IS basically unstoppable. In capable hands half the time the bolt will hit you before you see the other player. The other half he'll either pop out in front of you or get you from medium range. All those weapons you mentioned are useless if the player using the combo sees you first, and even if you get a step on him, it's still difficult to kill'em with a carbine/battle rifle before he gets you.

It's broken when you're on a winning streak in team skirmish, only to be stopped by some douchebag standby cheaters. So basically, you don't know what you're talking about.
 
I vow never to play this game again until i stop being a moany little bitch....

I spent most of the game last night screaming "that is just fucking bullshit" and no doubt giving myself a hernia from screaming at my screen as i get melee'd by a flag carrier/dropped with a short SMG burst/sworded from insane distance/pump opponent full of shotgun lead at short range and still die/etc etc....
 
I seriously gotta add some of you guys to my friends list. DaAnswer is the only one I think I've got on there. I'm on fairly often and would like to hook up sometime with y'alls. I'm kinda streaky at times. This teammate of mine is like the anti-Uno. If I'm kicking ass, he sucks. If he is doing good, I'm sucking. We can never get it together!

Do any of you guys do custom games? I just recently got into doing that and realized its pretty fucking sweet when you can set up games how you want them and don't end up on Coagulation every other match.

The three TJs were playing with them one night and they were nothing special. You'd be fine. MarkMacD wasn't there, it was Sal, Che, Novemberist, Psyho and maybe Mattroid.

I would like it so bungie will let us see what the second weapon the other person carrying is. I mean where are you hiding that rocket laucher, and sword maybe I dont want to know :lol

We're not great, but we're not as bad as those games (Che never plays, and I dunno who the 5th dude there was). I'd be up for a match sometime. (warning: we like to play team dm with no radar.)

most of my post was over exaggeration from annoyance...if anything I want the sniper thing i suggested..i think what i suggested with the sniper, OR have snipers/rockets respawn more would really help things being that right now....playing team slayer on burial mounds isnt really team slayer...its..."get both snipers and rockets before the other team does"......colossus: "get the sniper first then play protect the sniper"
etc etc etc....and i stand by all my other points as well except for 2, 3, 6, and 8 tho i think it would be great and funny as hell if those additions were made. (well, then again, the bungie employee being shot because of horrible map selection might not really be funny...)

oh and of course all the stupid ass bugs in team skirmish. They shouldnt be THAT hard to fix...

Basically I want better balance...Not for a SMG to = a rocket launcher but I want the game to be more based on.."skill" rather than "my team has all the good weapons and you dont, so you die"

Maybe you misunderstood me or just skimmed my post real fast? i dont know.

I wish Bungie would decide to make some MLG gametypes for matchmaking. They are much more balanced. And Ramirez, you don't remember when you played the TJ's? :)

I think we played the B-team, aside from SalFPS (he was good). And we were all just messing around that night. I'll be on at 9 EST tonight (I'm a Lost whore).

And I think it would help fix Halo 2 if after level 10, they turned off motion sensor period.

do you guys make the games invite only? the thing I hate almost as bad as getting lag cheated is setting up a sweet game and then seven others join and nobody figures out which team to go on etc...

I would like to start playing a lot more custom games because I've taken way to many loses in ranked just for practice sake. (Team training is ridiculous, players leave if they don't like the map type you almost never get a real game.)
