Wow that's disappointing, this game has looked good in all the movie clips I've seen....

Any score for TimeSplitters FP is impressive, given that the coe available is in a joke state, a long way from being review code, that's for sure.

Damn good scores all around!

Really curious to know what they thought about Chaos Theory.

The game is out next week! Maybe the code available to Spong is slightly older than that available to Edge. Not suggesting Spong is at the bottom of the food chain or anything. :p

Not surprising, Timesplitters is woeful but is constantly overrated by the UK press. I actually got banned from the Edge forums for mocking their TS2 review. If it didn't have any involvement from a few guys from the goldeneye team no one would give a shit.

Star Wars Republic Commando - 5

I gotta agree. The game was a big letdown for me - glad I tested the waters with a rental. Looks like I'll be giving Brother in Arms a go...

Is Edge supposed to be "harsh" or something.

Because usually when a game gets an 8 everyone says "FLOP"...

or does Edge like, never give out 9's and 10's, so 8 has becomes Edge's "perfect" score or something?

edge uses the full scale of 1-10 ... unlike other publications i could name (along with a number of websites) where 7 or under constitutes average or shitty

Fixed!

An 8 for Splinter Cell, Timesplitters, and Devil May Cry 3 is impressive considering it's the third sequel on the same hardware generation...

Fixed yet again!

wow they really took RC for a beating 5/10

that means it's exactly halfway between worthless and perfect on the edge scale. They give out 5's and 6's regularly.

I would like to what they say about Yoshi.

Exactly. 5/10 is not a beating. It simply means it's a pretty average game, which could be worth picking up if you are into the theme/genre (but play a demo or something first).

IMO Republic Commando is an average shooter that I feel like I've played before under the guise of different graphics.

Very predictable and linear in how you dispatch enemies. Cover and Flank. The online game is a LOT better. I'm loving that facet.

Kudos to the Star Wars:RC score. Someone didn't fall for the license. I'm surprised by the DMC3 score. Didn't they thrash DMC2?

Isn't this slander? Especially when you consider that FRD has had hugely finished playable code for almost two months now.
