Should be lower, yes, just for the horrible tech statemgsd gets a7 and on point?????????????????????????
its trying to introduce new people to the seriesOr Edge is of the understanding that the new Metal Gear 3 isn't doing anything in particular to take the franchise forward....
Edge says "if you don't care about graphics go play the original"its trying to introduce new people to the series
and this why edge is trashEdge says "if you don't care about graphics go play the original"
Last paragraph:
All video games media is trash.and this why edge is trash
Never heard of it before
Yeah, I see why now.
Agreed 100%. Konami should have given them the greenlight to change more.Edge says "if you don't care about graphics go play the original"

this is a straight up 1:1 remake, those should not deserve moremgsd gets a7 and on point?????????????????????????
Well, depending on how well this game sells, the new fans might end up doing just that. I'm anticipating a "Metal Gear Solid Gamma" or "Metal Gear Solid Alpha" announcement within the next few years.... By remaking THE THIRD game in a continuous series?
And no, NO ONE should play MGS in chronological order.
Just subtract 2 or 3 for Edge scores.Whats wrong with echos of the end? Looks alright to me. like a 6 or 7 at least.
With all respect for Edge i don't want a reenvisioning.Agreed 100%. Konami should have given them the greenlight to change more.
They left in the area-to-area transitions for crying out loud. That was clearly a PS2 limitation choice and not an artistic one.
Or Edge is of the understanding that the new Metal Gear 3 isn't doing anything in particular to take the franchise forward....
that is subjective.... By remaking THE THIRD game in a continuous series?

dude there is no load at all it goes from a black screen to gameplay immediately.Agreed 100%. Konami should have given them the greenlight to change more.

I don't want a full reimagining either. I just wanted a bit more than the bare minimum. Connecting the areas instead of keeping the loading screen transitions should qualify under that. With all respect for Edge i don't want a reenvisioning.
The choice was to make a 1:1 and not f* up with what Kojima made.
If the game feels exactly like i'm playing the original with better graphics, don't tell me to go replay the original.
Having said that i agree that wider areas, no loadings would be a more modern experience.
They shouldn't exist in the first place. C'mon R rkofan87 you at least have to meet me halfway there lol. We both are MGS 3 fans here but it was an odd development decision.dude there is no load at all it goes from a black screen to gameplay immediately.
i get it i can tell you something we can see eye to eye on mgs4 60fps or death.I don't want a full reimagining either. I just wanted a bit more than the bare minimum. Connecting the areas instead of keeping the loading screen transitions should qualify under that.
I was actually shocked that no insiders spoke out against it during preview events.

I fully agree. Right now we are at a crossroads though.i get it i can tell you something we can see eye to eye on mgs4 60fps or death.
You will get a superior method of control and aiming, a slightly better moving (less stiff) Snake, a new quick menu system for camo, much faster loading screens, and a new version of MGO with a new name behind it.So you aren't really missing much if you opted for the HD edition of MGS 3..
It's literally a remake.
Oh it's one of those games. It's amazing how easy it is to spot them when you see them.wtf is Echoes of the End? Looks like a Game Pass game.
there are some quality of life improvements that are not in HD CollectionSo you aren't really missing much if you opted for the HD edition of MGS 3..
The game feels like you're playing the original with better graphics plus QoL stuff and bonus content. If you like 3, you like Δ simple as that.
If they changed, people would be all over it saying Konami destroyed Kojima's vision. Me too by the way.
I may agree that Edge is better served by playing FF7 Remake Trilogy and having fun with Aerith and Zack.
And it adds nothing to the experience except for a graphical upgrade. They had 1000000 ways to enhance the experience and they did nothing. Zero.
A 7/10 is generous.
I guess if I was it worked with you.Kacho Why did you quote yourself just to bring culture war talking points into the discussion? No one is even defending that game lol.
Are you fishing for replies?
Very creative indeed.Whether you like it or not, FF7Remake so far is the only remake series to have actually done something interesting and creative with the entry.
No worries and no meltdown man. It wasn't the game that made me reply, it's just that your post to yourself almost made me spit my drink outI guess if I was it worked with you.
But no, I was just answering my own question and quoting myself for context. Doing my own research as they say. Nothing to have a meltdown over.
I wasn't the only one asking what it was. It was more educational. Not stirring up shit. The slop speaks for itself and has already come and gone. Wasn't even worthy of controversy. Brutal! No worries and no meltdown man. It wasn't the game that made me reply, it's just that your post to yourself almost made me spit my drink out
I guess if you want to count mine sure, it will be a free +1.
Oh it's one of those games. It's amazing how easy it is to spot them when you see them.
"Echoes of the End is the epitome of a serviceable but ultimately underwhelming PS Plus or Game Pass fodder game."

Every issue of Edge I own (Issue 14 to present)
Thumbing through a few today.
It really is remarkable how dull it has become, such a dry, joyless slog.
Anyone who regularly reads Edge, knows that the reviews are the least of it's problems.
Never heard of it before
Yeah, I see why now.
