This Vita bundle is insane... (Vita, mem card, AssCreed $179.99 WOW)

Some people here are buying a second Vita

WOW indeed lol

I'm backing out of getting another one. The price is definitely impulse buy territory. Apple has iPod touches on sale. My middle child has been wanting one for a bit. Child>adult. All is good.

we love colors brah

still holding out on a pretty glittery dark red vita.

Japan gets all the nice colours:

How's the backwards compatibility with PSP? The only Vita game I'm interested in is Gravity Rush, but I never owned a PSP and there's been several PSP games I'd like to play.

It does not have a UMD slot, however, it does have access to the majority of PSP games, and also PS1 classics.

100% perfect(with CFW, without you only get access to PSN games) it even upscales games unlike a certain console with BC.

I'm getting one and keeping the white one on 1.80/1.81. I assume it comes with 1.81?

Anyways I want to have one with PSP homebrew and one without.
It doesn't matter what it comes with. As of right now there's no way to homebrew enable a vita that doesn't already have one of 4 specific exploitable games downloaded from PSN. The only way to get those games on your vita would be to connect to PSN and buy them, but to connect to PSN you're forced to update to 2.0

In other words, you missed the train and will have to hope another one rolls in

Just bagged myself the Gamestop Vita bundle for £155. Good price imo for the UK one, even if it doesn't compare to the Amazon deal.

I don't see this as one of the upcoming deals on the Games page. I'm probably going to end up missing it

At this point I feel like it's just going to pop up in 1 of 3 locations around 3pm and cause a virtual version of these black friday stampedes. It'll either be in the main gold box page, the video game lightning deals page, or the bundle's specific page.

The black ruins it. Ugly.

Racist.

The blue doesn't really look that way in person, it has some tacky sparkle/glitter sheen to it. Flat blue would've been better.

Sucks, but I would have needed to buy another memory card to really take advantage of this anyway, so no big. Memory card prices will go on sale, and someone will find another exploit.

bleh people buying second Vitas are gonna take mine :( :P
These people are in the vast minority, I'm sure. If you're present when the sale goes live, you'll be able to secure one with little trouble. I wouldn't even be surprised if it didn't sell out; yeah, the value is there, but I can just as easily see people dismissing the games that come with it, making the price tag irrelevant.

Except for the fact that, even without the middling games, it's the cheapest Vita available. The games are merely frosting on the cheap Vita cake and frosting can easily be scraped off.

Sony really should give early adopters a free year of Plus or something. I feel so disappointed that they haven't given us an Ambassador type reward system. It's kind of fucked.
That is the risk one take when buying anything. One could never know when there will be a pricedrop. Getting compensated is not something that should be expected in my opinion, unless the price drops big time after just a month or so. Nintendo didnt need to give anything away after the 3DS pricedrop. It is nice that they did it of course, but not something that was needed or expected to be done, in my opinion.

Exactly. Go to the link below. The Vita's sales through the first 3 quarters this year has been "dismal".

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Sony-playstation-Vita-sales-numbers,17039.html

I will be completely shocked if they sellout within the first 2 hours.
Keep in mind that this is at a $250 price point with no games or memorycard included. $179.99 with two games, a memorycard and 3 months of PS+ included will be a different senario. I dont know how fast it will sell though, but it isnt really that much comparable to the previous sales due to the big difference in price and value.

Where should the deal show up on amazon when it goes live? Anyone got a link?

Anyone that has played these games and owned a Vita would not call them middling.
Only people who have shunned the Vita because shunning the Vita is the cool thing to do would call them middling.
Because they're not "system sellers" and incapable of moving hardware. Oooh.
That must mean they're terrible and not, in fact, the best examples of their respective genres on a portable platform.

I didn't mean any offense. Yes, I haven't played these games, I was going purely off of their Metacritic scores, which indicate a mediocre or average quality. But clearly, Takuan thinks they're pretty middling if he/she is willing to dismiss them the way he/she has, so I was just saying that the excitement over this sale isn't only for the games.

I, for one, look forward to playing both of them once I get my Vita.
fingerscrossed
