I don't care what the deal is, if there aren't games you want to play on the Vita RIGHT NOW, don't buy it.

Buying a console for future potential is really stupid, considering that there will be hardware revisions and price drops in the future.

It is if you have a big HDD. I use it as a PSone storage. The new wireless transfer makes it easier but keep in mind USB transfers are slooooow and i'm finding wifi to be slower.

there's some appeal, enough to make me want it. I'd play All Stars a little and go through Uncharted and Gravity Daze on psn+ while the sub is active. I'm definitely renting Persona 4 sometime and Tearaway looked decent in the future. It's appealing enough to want one but has no future....basically a trap.
 
Cool! Just got done setting up the new SSD drive I got on my computer. Computer feels pretty fast right now... Perfect to do some of dat F5 mashing to get this deal. :P

Sure it's not REAL analogue as you only have 8 directions but yeah, it works. The dpad will still work too.

They really did add a nice bit of customisation to the PS1 emulator.

Unless Sony can sustain these prices indefinitely (hint: they can't), the Vita is staying right where it is. Even if they have a very generous 10000+ on hand (I'm betting it's nowhere near that many), it's not going to do much in the way of resurrecting the Vita.

The PS3 I just bought has 250 gig. I assume that should cut it for PSN+ PS3 and Vita downloads.

people declared the psp dead a long time ago and imo it got some of its best games in the later stretches. Then again it was a success in Japan.
 
I don't have money for this right now, but I get paid next Friday. My friend said he's going to try and buy into this deal too because he's been looking to get a Vita. Is this 1 unit per household kind of stuff? I told him to try and order 2 of these bundles and I'll pay him back next week. Hopefully, he can score two of the bundles!

I'm gonna see if I can get one, thats 110 pounds for a White Vita, AC3L, PASBR & a 4gb card thats a insane price for the Vita alone, let alone a bundle!
you're literally robbing them at this price
 
By the way, FF IV Complete (PSP) looks friggin' amazing on the Vita. Another guy posted this awhile back, sorry don't remember his name but...

Since I can cloud save with plus, I just delete/redownload games from my card when i'm out of room and want to play something else.
 
Josh seems to think that everyone that wants one who shows up when it launches will get one, but those who wait an hour or so may be shit outa luck.

I want to buy one because the deal is so hot and I want to play All Stars and maybe some Persona but after that what I am I gonna play next year ?

If forum hype = real-world sales, the Vita wouldn't have gone on life support at all. It launched to fits of religious convulsion on GAF, then promptly dropped like a rock on the market.
 
Such a good deal, very tempting. Looking at the Vita release list for next year it's almost empty. Is there anything to look forward to?

I've never been one of those gamers that justifies buying a new system to play old games that i can still play on other systems i own. 3ds is the only one i've really given a look to partly for the larger screen to play my unplayed NDS games, and it's still not a huge selling feature.
 
Is it weird that this thing isn't on any of the other standard Lightning Deals pages? Just its own link? Usually it would appear elsewhere right?
 
German Amazon just had a deal on their Cyber-Monday sales, not as good as this one, but not bad either:

WiFi version + All-Stars Battle for free = 149,- €

I think they are pretty much gone at this point, but EU/German gafers might try their luck with the waiting list.
