This Vita bundle is insane... (Vita, mem card, AssCreed $179.99 WOW)

Thread title needs the games removed and OP needs to be changed to "nothing to see here".

I'm not missing out on a deal like this for Johnny-come-latelies.

Hasn't gone wrong in the console market for me (360/Wii) so I'd agree with this; but the handheld market is just in the gutter.
Or in Japan; has been tied up by Capcom/Nintendo; both of whom don't want a Vita install base to exist whatsoever but a giant 3DS one.

Slightly more powerful first party/third party and lower price would have been a good sales point - and is if they can really push this bundle.
 
I think this is an all day Friday deal that starts at 12:01 am pst. It won't be in the gold box until around 8, but the product page will show the savings. At least that's what I could interpret from the reddit thread.

I think everyone's a bit confused as to if this is the daily deal tomorrow or some sort of lightning deal.

The Amazon marketing guy on Reddit said there would be a daily deal on a Vita and that
"It's the Amazon Gold Box on Friday, all day. I wouldn't plan to wait until 11pm in case we do run out, but it's not going to run out in two hours, if that helps" plus "It's a better deal than just $200 for the AC3 Vita bundle". He also said that "My understanding is it will be available for purchase at 12:01, but not "showcased" until late morning".

Everything seems to match up, with it being a better deal than $200, so I'm ASSUMING this is the daily gold box deal and that it will be up at 12:01AM PST.

I'd make this assumption until there's new news.

Wow, this bundle deal is incredible. Now if only that became the official price...

With the amount of deals going around, Sony must be trying hard to push the Vita right now. This is the time for it.
 
Oh, and if any of you guys get this bundle and plan on taking advantage of PS+, I suggest a bigger memory card as PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale itself is 1.3GB. The current PS+ for Vita roster is:

Uncharted: Golden Abyss - 3.2GB
Gravity Rush - 1.5GB
WipEout 2048 - 1.6GB
Jet Set Radio - 1.10GB
Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack - 127MB
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions - 205MB (PSP Game)

Sadly, I'm not in the US.

Actually, I had a Black Vita but it got stolen at an airport before I could even use it for the 1st time, now I'm sitting on $70 worth of mint accesories because I still can't decide between selling them or try to get a Vita again :/
 
I was hoping they would throw in a bigger memory card, that's the biggest road block at the moment. Still a very good deal though.
 
Nice deal, but I would rather have a bigger memory card than the games.
I'm hoping we get some killer deals on the memory card next year.

In that case I'll get it as soon as I can. I don't trust that it won't sell out in a couple of hours. I just hope the product page has all of the other stuff included with it before it's showcased.

That is an insane deal. If you have even the slightest interest in a Vita, I can see no drawbacks to getting this deal.

Edit: Can we get "& PS+ games" or something added to the title? That's a ton of extra value even if you only use it for 30 days then cancel - should be enough time to finish at least one of the games, so it's technically 'free'.

If they include 1 or 3 months of PS+ I don't think they need for offer 2 games to make the pack valuable/attractive enough. And they'll get Plus suscribers for sure.

Anyway, I think they'll slowly but gradually lower the price in general of the system because

1.- They should know that they have to, in order for the system to succeed sales-wise
2.- The price of the hardware should go down fast enough to allow price drops while still not selling at a loss, no?

PS: I'm not saying it will go below 179 or 169, though.
 
I'm surprised there are so many Vita deals, and no 3DS XL deals.
Is Nintendo just content with the Wii U being the main attention this year?
 
Any good deals for a 32GB memory card right now?

Might jump on this but I'm going to need a larger memory card if I'm to take advantage of the free PS Plus games.

I wonder if they mean tonight (which should be AM) or tomorrow midday. The former makes more sense, really.

Unfortunately PSP2 isn't compatible with Vita. PSO2 comes to Vita in February but it hasn't been announced for a western release yet ...
