This Vita bundle is insane... (Vita, mem card, AssCreed $179.99 WOW)

The fact that I can own all the Persona games (sans P2 Eternal Punishment) on one system makes it worth it to me. Add in a great Wipeout, an "ok" Ridge Racer," a place to play PS1 games that have never looked better, and I'm good to go. And FF IV Complete on this system is godly.

I finally came to my senses, selling my old vita just to upgrade to this white vita is dumb. I can just save myself the time and live with what I have.

I know I'll get my value. Even if I only play P3 + P4 + VLR, I'm set for months. Everything else is gravy.

My time for gaming is so limited that if I get 10 GREAT games for each handheld (vita + 3ds), I'll be thrilled.

Now let's just get Wright vs. Layton, PW5, and AI2 localized...please...

Cancelled my order.
Don't really need a third Vita for a pure JPN only account use right now. If I do, it'll be a new color.

24 retail games and counting for me.

How does a game I don't care about being packed in make it a better deal? I do not like Assassin's Creed at all. The trade value on it is going to plummet like all pack-in games, so it's not like I could even trade it in for a good value by the time I got it. Again, I said in my case it isn't really a deal that benefits me. I already own one of the games, I don't care about the other game, I would buy a larger memory card regardless if I bought that pack or a used one, and I can already get a used one for less or wait for the inevitable price drop on the used ones.

Because its better value for the money regardless of your personal tastes. If you dont want a Vita, dont get it, thats fine, but dont justify it by saying you can get a used black one for the same price. Anyone with the internet and brain cells can get a black used Vita for the price of this bundle. (craigslist/ebay)

Same deal in-store at some Canadian retailers.
Could be the new price.

Grabbed a declassified bundle today. I know I'm missing out on a lot of bonus stuff, but damnit white is such an awful color for gagdets.

Negativity is trolling, gotcha. Can't say anything negative about anything people like, lest it make them feel bad about their personal choices.

I bought one of these and am looking forward to receiving it. It's just disconcerting that people still question the value in the system when a deal like this comes along.
So would you say Nintendo was killing off the 3DS with a 1/3 of the original price official price drop last year. This isn't a firesale, it's a simple promotion that Sony and Amazon have going. Its clear that people weren't buying Vita at 250 so Sony had to do something. In fact if they didn't you'd probably be the first person to critise them for it.

And yes its trolling, considering your information was factually incorrect and biasly skewed to suit your own feelings towards the sytem.

No it's not. Value isn't determined just by how much it costs to buy it. Value is determined by how a person views the package. You can't say "Well it comes with X game, so you have to concede it is a better value for you. It doesn't matter if you don't care about the game! It is a better value because it is there!"

How absurd do you think I am? You think I am trying to publicly justify my cancellation? If I just didn't want a Vita, I would say I just don't want a Vita. It's just a case of buyers remorse. I saw a bundle at a reduce price, jumped on it, then quickly realized how useless the bundled items are going to be for me and decided it's not worth it. If I change my mind later on, I can always still buy a used one for less. So why bother jumping on a deal when I can always get what I need for less later?

I can't believe I just bought that. I want the hardware more than the games that are currently out - so Sony better f'ing keep supporting this thing as they file for bankruptcy. =/

I used my super-secret bachelor credit card. She'll never know. MUHAHHAHAA.

dude. dont get a vita. Everyones happy now! :)

I pulled the trigger on it. I never had a PSP so I actually have a decent catalog of games to go through. Hell just having a portable way to play Xenogears will be nice. The more I think about the list of games I've got to play through the happier I am with my purchase.

omg dude. dont get a vita. PROBLEM SOLVED!

Who said there was a problem? I said "You know, I'm going to cancel this. The included items don't don't really matter to me and I can always get a used one for less later if I decide I do want a Vita". That was responded to with "Uhh, it doesn't matter if you don't care about the included item. It's a better value. They added stuff so you have to believe it is a better deal no matter what you think of the added stuff!"

Your edits are too slow.

I'm probably going to take the game code and PS+ trial and sell off the bundle since I suspect my family already purchased the regular AC:L+Vita+Mem.Card bundle a few weeks back.

Damn. Dat deal, though.

Theres no issue. You made it sound like getting a black used vita (naked) is just as good a deal as this is and thats not true. I'm glad you made up your mind. Everything is fine now.

I said it's just as good for me because of my interests. I even said I'm a GameStop employee so I get discounts on used systems! Your "everything is fine now" is not reassuring me at all!

Bought though I don't really want anything besides eiyusenki and PSO2 now.

Actually while in Japan, any good JP exclusives currently out that I could pick up? Project Diva maybe.

So are either Ragnarok Odyssey or CoD active online and worth playing? Just ordered P4G for now.

there are a lot of mixed reviews for RO, but from what I can gather if you can find hack and slash combat akin to dynasty warriors enjoyable then there is a lot to enjoy with RO, if you find that kind of gameplay horrible then you won't enjoy RO. I haven't played RO personally so I can't be sure of the quality.

As for COD I've heard it isn't a very good game, but I do know people who were enjoying it. I in general don't get the appeal of COD so in general I can't comment about if it's worth playing.

I think his issues come to the fact that even though you could get a black one for around the same price, if you sold the stuff that comes with this bundle you could likely make out better then you would with just a black one from gamestop any time soon. I mean with out to much trouble you could get $15 for each Asscreed and playstation all starts so that is $30, you likely wouldn't have much trouble getting $10 for the 3 months of plus so that would be $40, and you could likely get $5 from the memory card with out any problems so $45 total back from the stuff included meaning you could easily be getting the white vita for $135 instead which makes it a better deal than the $170 black one assuming that you don't care if it's black or white and don't care if it has 3g or not.

Vita is a freakin awesome system. The more people that buy this thing the more support it will get. It's just that simple. All of you with buyer's remorse should definitely keep it. You just got an amazing deal on an incredible system.

Heck, at $179 your already getting a number of the system's top games through PS Plus. It's worth it just for that and PS1 classics.

I've been an owner of the Vita since launch, and today I powered it on to download Gravity Rush that is free on PS plus.

I'm glad to see download speeds have increased dramatically! At launch, a 200mb file could take 2 or 3 hours.

Right now, Gravity Rush has just finished and it took all of 20 mins and was 1.5 gb in size. Glad to see that it wasn't some hardware limitation but just a network thing.

Thats Great, no one cares, except for that one guy feeding you.

Get your used system later on, have fun, whatever man

I'll ask again: How's the *download* (including prev gen) library for this system?
Pretty sure you can d/l any PSP game that's on the store and play it on Vita. It can also play quite a few PS1 classics. The emulation is efficient and supports a number of viewing options and control customization.

I'd say RO is a poor mans PSO2 instead.

I think what I might hold out for and try to hunt down is a Vita bundle that gives a 16/32 GB memory card instead of games. I'd pay $200 for a new Vita with a 32 GB memory card. Are the cards still heavily upmarked? The lowest I can find the 32 GB card for is $80. Is there anywhere that sells them for less?

There won't be bundles like that for quite some time as MC is the reason why Sony is able to sell Vita for relative cheaps. Even these great bundle deals are done with the knowledge that profit will come back through the MCs

Remember, vita has access to PS1, PSP, PSV and PSmobile games. so there probably won't be a shortage of games, plus, if you hack it, it can become the ultimate emulation device.

Yeah, this. Can someone answer? Might sway my decision.
It's amazing. You've got pretty much 90% of all digital PSP games and PS1 games. Added to that Vita already has a lot of PSN games and shares a lot of PSN games with the PS3 since its launch. Also PSM brings new bite-sized games every week.

Welp, bought it. Going to give it to my brother as an early Christmas gift since he really likes Assassin's Creed and PSABR.

Will probably pick up a memory card locally.
