Sorry to be posting a few topics tonite, but I'm just vibing to some awesome music and catching some videos. I'm listening to "This Way" by Dilated Peoples and Kanye West, a song that I think is one of the better hip hop songs to come out in the past year. But I just totally caught on that they're not complimenting Run DMC with the song.... they're blaming them for commercializing and glorifying something that isn't glorious at all.
Is that correct here? Was that line "I dedicate this to Jam-master Jay, Run DMC told me how to walk this way" more tongue in cheek than actually a shout out to them? Damn... if it is, it just makes this song like twenty times cooler.
