In case you missed the last few weeks, it's been pretty obvious PS2 was where it was heading:
1) the screenshots had serious aliasing
2) uses Havok engine (already licensed for several PS2 titles)
3) was in Dengeki PS2 last week
4) is in Famitsu PS2 this week

Famitsu introduces a number of new characters, who have a Front Mission flair about them. The game's scenario is being penned by Mitsuhiko Sawamura, of .hack fame. Janne Da Arc (sic!), a major Japanese rock group, will be performing the game's theme song.

I wonder if Clover's handling Chibiru May Cry? Capcom Studio 1 doesn't seem too interested in DS development (they barely touched GBA either, just making Minish Cap & Four Swords iirc). In fact, Capcom's handheld teams seem fairly split...

Folks at the IGN boards have been running with this rumor too.. some verification would be nice.

I like the idea of a 2d Devil May Cry parody though.
PSP Outbreak and DMC would be cool too.
 
As I've said (probably numerous times already)

DMC for DS might be a rumor that might just end up being not true, but the DMC (PSP) one is head on.

The producer of DMC3 basically said the project was green-lighted.

The president of Capcom (I'm sure some of you remember the quote) "This is the future" when talking about the PSP, to not have one of his companies biggest franchise put on it would be very hypocritical of him, and finally in all of Capcom's IR releases (japanese website, they are made public) it says "expansion of titles on handhelds"--Megaman, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry (PSP).
 
Ok time for some REAL news:

- Seiken Densetsu 4 is indeed confirmed to be for the PS2. 4-page article.V Nothing on Children of Mana this week.

- Ys Strategy is said to be akin to Age of Empires. (wtf?)

- There's some new stuff on Magical Vacation but really, who the fuck cares. :)

- New VF5 character revealed: El Blaze

- Some other stuff about PSU, Gundam SEED EA vs ZAFT and RE DS that no one will care about.

Growlanser V = Looks HORRIBLE in 3D! It looks like a bad early-gen PS2 game or a PC game from 5 years back. >_<
 
ugh, now we get some real ugly games. even age of empires 1 looked a lot batter than y`s strategy. and the growlanser game ist 10 years behind the technical adavance on any playstation console.
 
The best part of this week's Famitsu is the revelation that you can now play PS2 games on your PSP... if you don't mind a few seconds lag time.

Well its for the DS and those screen grabs a just a bit to grainy and small to tell.

Heh, glad I'm not the only one who though Ys strategy looks like a crude version of Age of Empires 1.

So what is the deal about DMC PSP? Is that news true or bs?
 
There are cellphone games that look better than Ys Strategy, and that isn't an exaggeration at all. Marvelous seems to make 9 shit games out of 10, the 10th one always being a Harvest Moon game. :lol

Nice. I'm a little skeptical because Capcom has hinted at DMC on PSP for a long time without showing anything.

Not as cool as a new Ninja Gaiden game but should be a worthy substitute. ;)
