this week Famitsu [ver.883]

Mario looks vastly improved, but it does need some more background interest...just throw in some dynamic elements, at least. The Volcano has major potential, though.
 
It's good to see that there are more power ups than just the mushroom and flower. The shell looks fun. Hopefully the cape feather or raccoon leaf make it in for flight. I suppose the hammer suit is too much to hope for, but I would love for the game to include powerups from all the Super Mario Bros. games.

The backgrounds really aren't good. The character models look amazing to me, just the poor backgrounds are distracting. Oh well.

I can't wait to see how the shells work and everything.

btw, when is this coming out? I thought it was coming out this year, but there has been little news. Next year for Japan?
