I'm 98.7623% sure that's just the buffed-up dungeon/field map stuff, and the battles are still hex-based strategy.

Hell yeah it does.

As for WA4, the game is being totally redesigned. While there is still a turn based battle system (though it is entirely different than the previous games), the actual control system/dungeon design is more action based. There is a dedicated jump button, it would seem, and plenty of platforming and puzzling. It looks pretty fun to me, actually.

WA4 definitely looks interesting, this series needs a bit of life injected into it. Katamari should be really cool, added bonus if it's only gonna be $20. And Wanda just gets more and more droolworthy.

The textures look ugly & it looks like they cranked up the lighting effects to compensate.

I am sure it probably looks better in motion (the trailer I saw a month ago or so was pretty neat), but the whole thing reminds me of Final Fantasy XI at this point, and I thought that was an ugly ass game.
