Those awful right-wing Facebook pics your friends/family share

This one is just too much. Wanting what is best for society is to be linked to Hitler? Who the fuck are these people? Disgraceful.

Lol I saw this one recently. The same guy also posts funny conspiracy stuff that he is totally serious about though so I haven't deleted him.

I held a great purge of my friends list a while back and got rid of most people that post this stuff though.

The left wing propaganda is just as bad.

"DOCTORS DISCOVER SMOKING POT REVERSED WOMAN'S ALZHEIMERS AND WHAT SHE SAID AFTER WILL SURPRISE YOU".

But I guess it depends on who you're friends with, my feed is polluted with pro-marijuana college students so I see a lot of the above.
I don't think that's left wing propaganda, more like Buzzfeed/Upworthy being themselves.

I would never let one of those sit in my feed for more than a moment. Unfriend those people. I've made a pretty awesome news feed for myself using this method

Are there any recent liberal equivalents to these? I see some political pictures on facebook, but they usually cite some statistic, correct or not. All the ones posted in the thread seem to just put words in evil liberal mouths.

I can understand a lot of those images. There seem to be more and more, especially here on GAF, hyper-liberalists coming out of the wood-work.

Care to explain how these images are valid? These pictures are based off attacking ridiculous straw men. They aren't even offering an argument.

The Exxon gas price one is stupid because before the election and the economy crashed, gas was selling for over $4 a gallon.

I live in a conservative/libertarian echo-chamber state outside of a few cities. I want to see the left-wing equivalent of these pics. I've yet to see any aside from the anti-vaccine thing, but then again conservatives are starting to jump on the anti-vaccines bandwagon too. I guess maybe they found some common ground after all.

I love those posts, mostly because how insane they are. I don't unfollow those people because I like to also know who the extremist are.

My friends and family are mostly good people so I'm not familiar with this phenomenon.

I come across it mostly with people that I went to high school with that I no longer am associated with. I think there is a correlation between people who never did anything with their life after high school and people who post ridiculous images such as these.

When you're browsing around and see one of these images on the page of someone you once thought decent.

Yeah there's been multiple times when I thought, I knew this person was kind of conservative or whatever, but this? Really?

And then they generally get unfriended

I think this is right, but it applies to people who post this kind of stuff from both extreme sides of the political spectrum.

Yeah, I mean, obviously dumb liberals exist alongside dumb conservatives, but I've never seen one say anything as patently offensive as "women can naturally terminate rape pregnancies."

I got one go who posts the most ridiculously stupid pro-gun shit you could possibly imagine. I love it.

There's tons more but chrome crashed on me.

I'm not going to delete people off my Facebook because they have an opinion, also I don't go on Facebook because I don't want to deal with stupidity. I will use Facebook if I want to get in contact with a person I normally won't be able too. That's it.

On topic: I am pretty sure a lot of people that post this stuff mean it in a jokey way.

I love how the Ron Paul "love" logo is often juxtaposed with stuff that doesn't really seem very loving.

I like this one because if that dude actually thought about what he had written on there he would be decrying the Swiss government for socialism

Nice of my family or friends post things like that. The only person that I ever blocked was someone that constantly posted anti vaccine, anti medicine, anti gmo stuff. I couldn't take it anymore.

We've come to an agreement.

I have some family members who are extreme right, but I love them to death and are very close. So we just don't comment on each others' politic posts. Simple as that. A few have lost it and ended up just blocking my posts or using filters, but for the most part we just humbly agree to disagree. It got pretty bad for a long time, especially during school shootings (my family are very very pro-gun), but like I said, we just don't talk about it.

Only dude I ever had to unfollow (for any reason) is this anti-GMO envirofreak who reposted everything on HuffPo and its left-wing clickbait. I mean, I'm talking "Does McDonald's use human babies in its meat?" kind of stuff. Thankfully I live in a "centrist" area (with a left-wing slant by American standards), so we don't tend to get much of either.

edit: omg, those gun pictures give me the creeps.

During the 2012 elections I either unfriended or started hiding certain people's posts, so thankfully I don't see much of the conservative crap these days.

I wish that were the case, but when I see those images posted by my conservative-leaning friends, they are taking that stuff 100% seriously. Granted, most of my friends are based in either the Mid-South or over in Texas, which is ripe for that kind of thinking. The "Unfollow" button is starting to become worn out.

I wish I had friends who posted stuff like this. I love watched bitter conservative meltdowns sometimes. Back in 2008 I had a ton, but it seems my friends quieted down about it.

I find those pictures funny but only on 4chan (or here). If RL people started spamming these on my facebook feed... lol gtfo. Don't matter your political views, you're clearly unhinged.
