Oldest surviving photograph is from the early 1820s, the last documented (illegal) slave trading boat to the US was in 1859.

For starters, Romans never contended with oceanic travel, they stuck to the relatively calmer waters of the Mediterranean. Said calmer waters, incidentally, are less intensely erosive to wooden sailing vessels. It also offers significantly less volume to sift through to find a sunken vessel compared to the water of the transatlantic slave lanes, being both not nearly as deep and its seabed not nearly as obscured.

This is 9/11 truther levels of rationalization for a really nonsensical stance. The Mediterranean is not loosely equivalent for the Atlantic.

Why would anyone lie about kidnapping people from one land,ship them to another land, to be used as menial labor?

Firstly if you would watch ancient aliens the ufos opened a wormhole in the bermeda tringle and the slav ships went thru it. Than the trip was so much short so they didnt haev to feed the slaeves much they fed them soylent green. I saw it in a movie wonce.
