Hey I just wanted to see if anyone on here has created maps for LIVE play. We can just post the names of the map here or something.

I've made 1 map so far titled "haunt" Search it, download it, rate it, and play it. Pretty fun I didn't put much time into it but with a few players it gets crazy.

I'll make more maps when I have the time.

Someone needs to make some Counter-Strike maps, the only one I've found on the TimeSplitters site is an fy_iceworld map. Someone needs to create de_dust, dust 2, etc.

I don't play Counter-Strike anymore, but it would be cool to have some Counter-Strike maps on TimeSplitters.

i ahve a couple question regarding custom maps

do you upload it to the server?
how big are the average map sizes?
how complex can you make the maps?
If you are host and decide to swith to one of ur custom maps does it auto download for everyone that doesnt have it?

1. Yes, you upload it to the server.
2. Pretty good size, it all depends how much you put into the map that determines how big it can be
3. its goes into alot of detail in advanced mode, and pretty easy to make. just time consuming.
4. i think it gives a temperary d/l to play for that game. you'd have to d/l it seperatly to play it offline or to host your own game and play it.

I made some great maps in TS2. There was one, I think it was called Fun House, or maybe Welcome to the House of Fun, which I loved. Some long corridors, hiding places, wide open areas, it all looped round on itself...I think it was really good. And the advantage you get over friends when you've made the map...hah.

Oh I forgot to say how I designed it. Basically neon lighting everywhere, but seperated into different sections by colour. And it would pulse dark and light across the level. Oh and the background music was like a creepy clown theme I think, it's been so long since I've played it.

Anyway, it's a great feature, hopefully I'll get on Live someday and be able to share maps.

Custom maps...next gen better allow users to create mods. Then people can see what they're missing from FPS PC online gaming

BTW, if I can make maps with this, anyone can. I wouldn't even know where to begin making them on the PC, it really is that simple. You just have to be prepared to put the time in.

You can make mods and sell them with MICROTRANSACTIONS

I hope they let you set the price at 0. I'd feel dirty charging for a stupid map I made in a couple hours..

Are new texture(tile) sets unlockable? having 5 sets is by far the WORST part of the map editor.

If you're gonna remake levels from other FPS... do them for games that didn't have a jump button. It'd be silly to have CS maps and not be able to jump. And as far as I can tell, there's no jump button in TS3.

All I can think of is rainbow six 3 (xbx) and doom(and other old schoolers), what other ones are there, was there a jump in Counterstrike for Xbox?
