Our Fumito, who art in Japan,
Hallowed be The Last Guardian.
Thy release come.
Thy game be done
On PS4, as it is on PS3.
Give us this day our announcement trailer,
And forgive us our GIFs,
As we forgive those who GIF against us.
Lead us not into anticipation,
But deliver us a street date.
For thine is the Ico,
The Shadow, and the Colossus,
For ever and ever.
Amen.
No beyond good and evil 2 being shown yet again is the familiar despair I feel every year when no last guardian. I dont know how I will feel if it is actually shown.
Hour and a half to go before hopes and dreams are shattered as Sony, with great passion, takes one swoop to violently mutilate our breathing bodies to extract our hearts and curb stomps all over it!
Our Fumito, who art in Japan,
Hallowed be The Last Guardian.

You shall have no other games before Me.
You shall not make gifs.
You shall not take the existence of the game of your God in vain.
Remember the re-reveal, to keep it holy.
Honor your Colossi and horned children.
You shall not murder the hopes of other fans.
You shall not commit adultery with other anticipated games.
You shall not steal the game through torrent sites.
You shall not bear false witness against rumors of my existence.
You shall not covet other games that have been released.

Though I have not been a part of the "crazy person" thread, I would like to be a member of this group. Shadow, Ico and -- I hope -- TLG are part of what connects me to my gaming past. I am now a father of two small girls and don't have much time to game any more so I tend to live off of announcements and news and squeeze in actual play time where I can. And Ueda's games are among my favorite games of all time.
I can still recall sitting on a plane to Mexico for my honeymoon ten years ago this fall and reading a copy of EGM that I'd saved for the trip. There was a review of SotC in it, and I can distinctly remember the bit that Mark MacDonald wrote. He essentially said the game was an artistic achievement and that any shortcomings it had were a result of its creators' reach exceeding their grasp. In other words, they were pushing the known boundaries of the medium. I knew then I had to play that game (which I'd never even heard of until then - nor Ico) and I'm glad I did. Looking back on it now, I can see that as a console-only gamer my whole life up to then (and continuing to this day), I more or less got my first taste of what I could come to love about many "indie" games with this labor of love from a small team within Sony.
These kinds of artsy and off beat games are one of the big reasons I'm a Playstation fan, and not knowing what's happening with TLG is killing me. Especially for those us who have been PS fans and consumers since 1995 - we deserve answers. For those of us who have loved Jumping Flash and Journey, Vib Ribbon and Hohokum, Parappa the Rapper and Flower - we deserve answers. For those us for bought a PS4 on day one and have returned Sony to the top of the heap. For those us who have imported insanely overpriced 64gb Vita memory cards and still have a PS2 hooked up our TVs. At this point, it's bigger than just one game.
Just tell us something - now!
Or, you know, maybe at Gamescom or TGS??? We'll be waiting.
Even if by some fucking miracle TLG actually shows, so fucking what? It took you, what, 9 years with rumours of other devs having to come in to try and save it? Firstly, what does that say about your competence? Secondly, look around. It's not like quiet and contemplative games that attempt to tug on your heart strings are in limited supply, and many have done it pretty fucking well. Ico's shtick from the mid 2000's isn't all that unique anymore.
Come on. It has to be tonight. It just has to be. Doesn't it? It's going to happen. Just believe. Pray to Ueda. Or make sacrifices to every god you can think of.

Alright my fellow gaming brethren, I genuinely hope TLG is rerevealed today. It's been too long. I genuinely hope the fans of the game and its related games finally get closure. I still feel it is vaporware but I really hope I'm wrong.
Even if they didn't plan to show it I think Sony knows at this point that not showing it will seriously affect perception of their show. So it's happening and hopefully they were already planning to.
