TLoU:R Photomode Thread:I struggled a long time with compression [READ OP] [SPOILERS]

Fantastic! The first image goes to show the poses the animators created for almost all possible circumstances.

And that second shot looks like it can be made into a great poster for a Fallout game.

Oh my god, are these real? Especially marlene's image right there. Naughty Dog, can't wait UC4 demo!

Haven't had this issue. Just move the camera to a far angle and then decrease the FOV a bit. You'll need to position yourself beforehand in some cases, but it'll work.

If you have to figure out ways around bad omissions, they could have done better. It's like how people had to give tons of tips on how to make ME2 planet scanning easier. They just can make it better.

Planet scanning was never bad nor was it difficult.
Easier to tolerate. Not too bad for me (though disappointing compared to the open planets of ME1), but it was pretty clear that many players and reviewers felt it was. I did feel it was not a good activity when it came to giving players a change of pace. BioWare patched it almost immediately to universal acclaim.

As a real-life Photographer, I've started a photographic project of TLoU:R where I "follow" Joel, Tess and Ellie and take pictures of their adventures as if I were really in the game with them. I'm trying to see if I can bring a sort of "War Photographer" perspective to the images rather than perfectly captured bullshot ones.

I was experimenting with this in the
"20 years later"
level. The pics are black and white and deliberately overly grainy. If I were living in that world, I wouldn't have access to a pristine DSLR HD camera, so I'm trying to recreate the feeling of having a found a busted up 35mm to document the journey.

Here are three sample pictures. The rest can be found at a link on the bottom. Feel free to leave (or PM) me feedback. As I'd prefer to keep my professional name separate from NeoGaf, I'm unable to link to my flickr album, but if anyone has a recommendation for online albums (with minimal compression), I'd love to hear it.

Thank you.

These have to be
bullshots

Nope. These really are from photo mode and yes, TLoU does look this good. The funny part is, many of these images aren't even being viewed in their highest quality because Sony hasn't allowed us to save pictures in a lossless format.

Lol at these guys not evening thinking that the dlc isn't spoilers

Also feel sorry for those having these albums of awesome shots and entered in me and viscreals photo contest
