This is great for all the people who are hoping for more retro spiritual successors. Expand the developer team with that money and lets get a bunch of shit made.
 
It was a game made with respect to the fans of the original IP. I am not surprised at all that it found an audience. I wish big pubs would see this and take it as a lesson, but they won't.

Anyways, congrats to Tribute Games, it's a really fun beat 'em up.
 
Haven't played ot yet, but if it's as good as SoR4 then I can guess it's well deserved.

Happy for them. Now what's up with that Metal Slug Tactics game? Hope that one came out as good as their other games.
 
Grew up with Turtles in Time and they really nailed it. My girlfriend doesn't even play games and she keeps asking me to play it.
 
Bless Game Pass. I played through it once with Don and had my fill. It's a really good game but for some reason it didn't have the same pull SOR4 had with me where I hammered it so hard until I beat Arcade in Mania.
 
Certainly great game but need more stages. Best on Switch & PC (support 6 players & portability) and Xbox (support 6 players & game pass). Not recommended to buy on PS4 (only 4 players) unless its your only platform

I would have actually preferred that it had been shorter and cheaper. ~40 minutes is around the right length for a beat 'em up. They drag after a while. 2 hours+ is waaaaay too long.

Short and sweet is the name of this game. If the game had been like $10 and been 40 minutes long the whole thing would have come off a lot better.
 
This game and Elden Ring are by far my picks for Game of the Year...although for me personally, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge will be replayed for YEARS.

It's one of my favorite games this year. I played it on Gamepass and bought it on Switch. Looking forward to the collection, too.
 
Two of those copies are from me. I needed it on PS5, then decided I also wanted it on the go for the Deck.
 
I pre-ordered a retail copy, played about 12 hours thanks to game pass, had enough/burnt out on the game and cancelled my preorder.

I think these kinda games just bore me quickly, where as I could replay them so many times as kid.

I don't think the game is bad or anything, I think it is great even, I just think I've just outgrown the genre.

I found myself bored off Scott pilgrim, SOR4 and capcom beat em up collection fairly quickly too.

I personally feel SOR4 and TMNT have 4 levels too many.

Honestly, y'know...I'm not even sure! I've already gotten all achievements, and currently I'm finding myself trying to help random strangers beat arcade mode on hard. I suppose the wait for a proper 2D TMNT game was so long, I just keep finding new reasons to play it again and I'm having fun each time! Maybe I'm an addict? :lollipop_grinning_sweat:❤️

Ikaruga takes about a half hour to beat and people clamored to get this game for full price when it first made it to NA on Gamecube, LOL.

Nice fancy chart but you can't quantify a game's value in length. This kind of mentality is why games are diluted these days with padding to extend the play time.

Sometimes, you want a cheeseburger for $10 instead of a giant pot of plain pasta for $2. Even though the latter is "more food".

Yeah that's part of the problem. It should have been an arcade game. That's basically what beat 'em ups are. The piece of crap doesn't even let you remap controls or use a keyboard to control more than one player causing endless problems for people with arcade cabinet setups using keyboard encoders. Game is a technical mess.

Mentalities like this are the reason game development is in the state its in.
 
Its cool the game has been successful so far. I Bought and beat the ps4 version. So far I've only beaten it with Raphael, but I plan on beating it with the rest of the cast. As someone who likes old school konami/Capcom arcade beat em ups, I would definitely recommend this game.
 
I thought it was ok. It mostly made me want to play the superior Konami games honestly.

It's really fun, but short! I beat it in a couple of sittings together with my girlfriend in co-op, but it was really cool. I can see us beating it together many more times.

Still, I kind of expected... More. Something meatier! Oh well, it looks and plays great.

PS, well worth the price. Would gladly have payed more.

In any other media you will have too pay wayyyy more for 4 hours entertainment. But games must be a hour per 1 dollar. Sometimes a short and fun game is better than a bloated shit that does not end.
