Those who like to have a shiny Switch box on their shelves instead of a digital copy are in luck as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is landing an all-new 'Anniversary Edition' physical copy which will include the recently-released 'Dimension Shellshock' DLC.

The base game received a physical release last year, though this is the first time that the rougelike game mode expansion will be gracing the game cartridges — you can never have too many copies of one game, right?

This Anniversary Edition will be coming to us from Merge Games on 17th November and will cost you £29.99 / €34.99 / $54.95. The company has stated that this new physical will be available from all major retailers and pre-orders are now available from Signature Edition Games.

The Xbox physical release available only from Limited Run Games from what I can tell. The LRG release comes with some extra physical goodies as well.

The boxart looks hilarious. At the center you have Dora the Explorer gone ninja and a humanoid Rabbit samurai that nobody remembers. They are decent additions to the roster, but the DLC overall is pretty weak.

From the OP I believe this post is saying that the standard is everywhere and the classic edition is on the LRG website.

I think both of these are variants of the anniversary edition (which has the DLC).

There is one slight advantage to the LRG release.
According to the first post, the Xbox version isn't planned to get physical copies in PAL regions.

You don't have to activate anything t's already in there on the cart it's not a code on a slip of paper, when you start a game and are picking a character you should see usagi yojimbo the rabbit guy in the roster he's part of the shellshock dlc if you can see him you have the dlc already.

Joke's on us all. LRG just had an "Ultimate" edition (now sold out) that will have  All previous DLCs on the cartridge/disc.

Hopefully this too will come to retail, but somehow I doubt it.

Heya, if your kid loves this game and has played it out...maybe consider TMNT: Rescue-Palooza. It's completely free and will run on absolute potato hardware. It is also considered one of the best TMNT games ever made, so it's worth the time to check it out if you have access to a pc/laptop.

Well, at only 3 years 10 months old, the TMNT on switch is perfect because of the "Chill" mode, and the fact that I can play along side him and help along the way. Although he can walk around and button mash just fine at this age, I only had to help him with some of the jumps. Anyway, I decided to invest in Scott Pilgrim for a similar experience on Switch. It's on sale <$5 right now. I hope there's also an "easy" mode on this one so we can just enjoy it without getting frustrated!

Ahhh, ok. Gotcha. Then this one will be waiting for him once he tornado kicks his gamer training wheels off.

There are a lot of great couch co-op games on Switch, I suggest doing a little digging online to find ones that are age/challenge appropriate for the time being

Really wish we could get a remake of the nes and arcade games in todays graphics that would be a day one buy and while were at it the simpsons arcade game redone would be a fun time waster.
