I've never had that "oh my god I'm so old" complex on my birthday like a lot of people do, and this year is no different.

However, I can't help but feel I'm starting to turn a corner lol. 33 isn't quite halfway, but it's the almost halfway and I guess that is kind of making me say "well... I guess I'm starting to get old?". I've been changing lot of things in my life over the last couple of years and I'm happy with who I am today. I really want my 30's to kick the tits off of my lame 20's, so wish me luck with that.

Not sure what the average age is around here, I know it ain't 22 lol, but that got me curious as to what Gaffers think is old and not old.

33 isnt even remotely old, wait till you get into your early sixties to think like that. Bernie Sanders is old, you're not.

You're a young man with many years ahead of you.

stay healthy and be happy

don't forget to play dragon quest xi

I don't think that age is old at all, but you are in fully ripe state, catch your dream in the sky and dreams

30s is the new 20s. You can still do all of the stuff you did before, just with more money (hopefully). Unless you now have kids in their double-digits. Then your life is over

You know, its not about age. Its how you feel about yourself. For example, there were these 5 girls, all around 15-16 years of age. They were out drinking and driving one night last year. Only 1 of them survived a horrible car crash. They hit a tree. It hit our part of town pretty hard. These girls never got to live their life. They never saw 18, 21 or 30.

That entirely depends on when you're gonna die. Do you live in a part of the world where the life expectancy is 66?

i was thinking more like 40 is the halfway point... so im closing in on that. but you have a good point, i may be near the end or only a third of the way through depending on when i croak 🤷‍♂️

More than halfway as far as quality of life is concerned.

youre absolutely right. quality over quantity... and the quality is all down hill at this point lol. nah fuck that, my life is only been getting better since i was about 29, not gonna end that trend anytime soon if i can help it

thanks for all the birthday wishes you bunch of beautiful ass holes

Happy birthday op.

Around there too. The 30's have been a bliss so far compared to my 20's; I have a plan, I follow it, and things happen, repeat.

I still tell people I'm 33 due to the fact that I did a major surgery after high school and went to University a year later then my peers. After that I taught in China for 2 years before I finished my last year of Uni. Career wise I'm three years behind so why the fuck am I going to admit to being 36 amiright? Right!???

33 isn't old. You've essentially lived 1/3 of your lifespan which I'm sure you will have plenty of unique experiences to see and do. Age is only a number.

Hell no! I don't feel old at all, but I too don't feel like having children or having a stable relationship at all, especially after my last break up (it was 5 good fucking years of relationship, but I'm well over it). All of this and I'm just 25 yet. Life is good! I've been having the shit time of my life these past months, but that is on me to blame.

I think I will start to feel old at my 55+. I just expect I still have my baby face until then (yeah, I'm a man with almost no facial hair and I love it, not having to shave daily is the best, hooray for my genetics). It's only funny meeting my clients and have them thinking I'm just a freshman out of college. Life is good.

Enjoy your birthday OP, you still have a lot of life inside you!

lol you are not alone, my 20's where also super lame - no shame in that, most people don't make the best out of their 20's.
I'm just glad that I could turn things around and be a better and successful self.

I wouldn't worry, men generally age like fine wine.... That's the general thinking anyway.

Also... For your age information... I was 34, 4 days ago.
