I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Might be the last chance for a Dragon's Dogma 2 expansion announcement. Come on Capcom don't leave us hanging!

New RGG game, DS2 and SIE fully coming back already makes this the most exciting TGS in half a decade.
Both Sony and Nintendo are likely to have pre-TGS events, hopefully there's some nice announcements.
Imagine if we got a 'Pre-Tokyo Game Show' branded State of Play like the good old days. The only downside is that it would be at like 3 AM.

For a more serious post, I remember that SIE mentioned the fact that TGS was about to happen on their announcement for the September 2022 State of Play; the one that had the reveal of Rise of the Ronin, a Sony Japan game.
Next month should be great for new Sony Japan game announcements.

So we are getting demo!?

Ah, sorry, now I know what you mean and it's definitely not what I was talking about. 😅
There will be a playable demo at the PlayStation and Capcom booths in the event, but not demo available for everyone else, sadly. Maybe close to launch.

Would be interesting but I don't think the branding means too much. The September Nintendo Directs normally have a lot of Japanese games without being "pre-TGS" branded, so the same can apply to the SoP.

I went to TGS in 2006. I could go this year, but is there really anything to see or do? I felt that last time it was a bit waste of time. Huge queues everywhere.

I guess Capcom has a big showing so it would be cool to check that out.

Lots of focus on DQIII, probably going to be the biggest game in Japan this year!
It feels unreal. After years of nothing, suddenly we get some good amount of footage this year. But then again, it's also releasing fairly soon, so it would be weird if they still didn't have anything to show off.

The preview gameplay stuff from like a month ago was dope.

Unreal to me too. The same COVID stream also had DQ12 and we've still heard nothing from that.

I bet Horii anticipated that DQ12 would take a while, hence why he also had the HD-2D remakes made. To fill the long gap. Another possibility could be that he's waiting for the Switch 2 reveal to talk about DQ12.

Might be the last chance for a Dragon's Dogma 2 expansion announcement. Come on Capcom don't leave us hanging!
Ngl, I doubt whether Capcom will continue pursuing Dragon's Dogma as an IP. Afaik, it mainly pushed by Itsuno... Which would be fucking sad because neither Monster Hunter nor Resident Evil are doing it for me.
Gimme more Dragon's Dogma or a Mega Man Legends 3.

  • 21:50 – Tokyo Game Show Special: No Leaving Until All NieR Orchestral Boxes Are Signed – Three men rise up to take responsibility for the huge inventory of NieR Orchestral Arrangement Special Box Editions that need signing… In this Tokyo Game Show 2024 special program, the three men are locked inside the company and forced to sign autographs while discussing highlights and behind-the-scenes stories of the production, as well as some casual conversation. Will they be able to finish signing all of the autographs before the program ends…? (This is a pre-recorded video premiere.) Featuring Yoko Taro (creative director, NieR series), Yosuke Saito (producer, NieR series), Keiichi Okabe (composer, NieR series), and others.
So It's official now that they came to TGS lol
Sony will have their own digital show alligned with TGS, so I would recommend looking there for new SE reveals, since I dont think they will reveal anything brand new at their own booth... But they sure didnt come all the way there to just sign orchestral boxes 🤭

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife

Yeah neither MH nor RE do it for me anymore. MH I really preferred the classic ones, with GU being my favorite game. Rise didn't do it for me and Wilds seems to be casualized even further.

I still have hope for Dragon's Dogma tho. Capcom said it was one of their "main" franchises (whatever that means) and, most of all, I think the director of Dark Arisen who also worked on Dogma 2 could step in as Itsuno's successor. With how cool Dark Arisen turned out to be, that would be my dream sceneario.

HOPE RESTORED!

DQ11 was the first third party game announced for Switch, so there is precedent!
