Good glad to hear you are enjoying it.
It is a little different, since they tried some new ideas with it and had created the title to be a bit of a blend of audiences for the core and light users. For the most part it did pretty well I think as both sides seemed generally happy.
Later dungeons yes the circles will become more spread out, therefore running circuits will take a lot longer. But at least unlike the start of the game you wont be running around mostly naked while doing it.
I never use the auto-navi system and pretty much forget it exists. Its in this game too Operation Abyss that is and once again I never use it since dont really need it lol. Its more for those who hate having to move around on their own I suppose. Or are doing something else at the same time yet want to progress in the dungeon.
Also dropped this on the demon gaze page but one of the better wikis that should help you out if you ever need information. Also pay attention to the bug section, since there were some bugs that never got fixed which means there is a good chance they still exist in the US version. But it mostly has to do with end game treasure hunting so you wont have to worry about it for a while.

The link will take you to the stats page since thats another thing which isnt always really explained in their games and are slightly different from one another therefore its always good to check first what each one does / effects. From that page you can go back to the main wiki and whatnots.
Anyways enjoy the game and if you have any questions just leave it in the demon gaze thread as I got it on my watch list also even though its not my OT.
Yep, I know about the wiki and what stats do. I did some research on stats and classes before starting the game.
I tend to read something on the internet while grinding, so auto-navi is useful when it works.
I got five demons, entered the castle. Things I love about the game.
1)Artifact system. Gave support skills to my gazer, so I don't need a wizard. Gave Slash 2 to my Assassin, so now I have two slash users. Such power! Much flexibility!
2)The gem system. You get the drops of the type you ask. Get a lot of bows, equip the unique ones, turn everything else into ether. Very productive grinding. You can choose what to grind for exactly and it always feels like you are progressing forward to your goal, even if nothing unique drops.
3)Capturing demons. Getting something special for defeating the bosses is nice.
I get that there will be no demons in other games, but does abyss have something like skill transfer/gems?
Minor gripe. This game has too many consumables. There are only maybe four useful ones and everything else just clutters the inventory. Together with gems and trash items they can fill the bag fast. Trash at least is easy to sell, but selling consumables requires attention so that you don't actually sell the useful ones -_-
