Tom Cruise Crazy Train 2005: The View (56K)

The Tom Cruise Crazy Train pulled into The View today. Unlike the Today Show, I missed today's performance. It seems like Cruise has trouble sitting on a couch these days, without having to jump around and go insane.

More of the madness here.

When asked to explain his recent antics, Cruise earnestly said, “I can’t restrain myself.”

In other news, it seems like Katie is no longer allowed to go to the bathroom by herself:

When Holmes accompanied Cruise to a recent taping of "The View," eyebrows were raised when she wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom alone. At one point, Cruise asked where the bathroom was and "took Katie with him into the men's room," an insider says. Later, when Holmes needed to go, "three Scientologists followed her in."

Oh, it was a rerun? Damn, I missed it the first time around, and the article failed to mention that. :lol He's still completely insane.

God, is Katie Holme's ugly. Come to think of it, all of Tom's women have been ugly: Kidman, that latin woman, and now Holmes. :lol

Nicole Kidman is stunning. You watch your mouth.

Tom Cruise is sooooo June of 2005. Time for a new crazy celeb.

As entertaining as Xenu, the souls trying to escape Earth and atomic bombs in Volcanoes are - hasn't Ron Hubbard said it's just a story? Like the Old Testament is formed of stories?

I honestly don't care if Tom Cruise is a scientologist - he's a talented guy and he seems very happy. For him, spending money on a religion-of-the-priviledged like Scientology seems to be doing him good.

I disagree with his single mindedness on the mind altering drugs issues, but then - I can disagree with shit loads of people every day without making a spectacle of it. The only reason anyone cares is because he's chosen what people perceive as an absurd alternative to Christianity and other religions. In my view, they're all pretty absurd.

Christians don't consider old testament stories to just be stories. As I understand it they consider them to be actual occurences. I have... mixed feelings on that issue....

Mods, you can go ahead and lock this if you want. The article said nothing about this being a rerun.

This is the first I've heard of it, might as well keep it open.

Scientologists aren't told the Xenu story until they reach OTIII. Before that, it's mostly Dianetics-style stuff. Once you get to OTIII, you're told the origin of thetans.

Interestingly enough, according to something I read this weekend, the Scientology Xenu/Thetans stories bear a striking similarity to old gnostic myths about souls falling to earth. I'd like to read those stories to see how much of a similarity there actually is.

They bear a striking similarity because L. Ron Hubbard is a blatent plagiarist. He took pieces of all sorts of different religions (Buddhism, Gnosticism, etc.) and incorporated them into Scientology.

I don't think you could validly use plagiarism when talking about religion. Every new religion takes the attractive elements of what was popular before.

JUDAISM AND CHRISTIANITY PLAGIARISED ZOROSTRIANISM OMG!

A thead about The View should always contain a pic of Elisabeth.

People talking about Cruise has become much more annoying than any of Cruises actions. Even the freakin DJ on the rock station I listen to feels the need to talk about it.

who cares......
