Atlantis looks better. The tone and vibe feels more like Tomb Raider, and her model looks better too.

What a fucking shocker that it's the studio that's not Crystal Dymanics that's nailing the vibe and character more.

The remake / Atlantis does look a lot better indeed.
 
Looks good, and she looks good as well, these 2 games look better than the previous trilogy going by these trailers, but again it's not quite the Lara of old.
 
Atlantis looks better, not sure whats going on with Lara's face in the new one, CGI maybe Vs partially in-game?

Funny, but that Remake will be 20 years old when this one releases.
But this looks majorly reimagined even from that one.
 
Would also echo this looks better than the other. Flying Wild Hog doesn't make great games, but they make fun enough 7/10s with good combat in enough of their history.

The trailer shows bringing back the over the top stuff like Dinos, and dual pistols is nice. I'm hoping with them going more in the classic look, they're gonna have platforming and puzzles matter more than the survivor trilogy.

What's up with graphics of all these games revealed . They all look flat especialy in environments. Personally it looks worse then uncharted 4 and tht was 10 years ago. Games used to look shiny not they look flatter then ever

I think Catalyst is the Crystal Dynamics game. The true open world sequel. While the Legend of Atlantis game is the remake. Made by some other studio with input from CD.

Atlantis does look better but only because Catalyst was all CG.
 
I'll probably get both. Atlantis is looking like the better of the two. If they can nail the original's level design then it has potential to be great.

I'm curious about the continuity if the TR1 Remake is same timeline as Survivor Lara.

Catalyst seems like Survivor Lara has embraced her crazy and gone full Treasure Hunter with no fucks given which would be a nice way to course correct.

The dual pistols is a good sign.
 
Don't you get the impression that there was an internal battle between DEI suckers and real devs over Lara's design, and that the latter finally won? Okay, but she'll have a pretty face, a nice butt... but not too much! Strong thighs, and small breasts!

It's literally written in the trailer, Flying Wild Hog is involved in Atlantis development.
 
Atlantis is just what I needed.

Watched a video of TR1 a while ago and I then realized how much I missed it. "Someone should make a modern version of this" I thought. And here we are...

This is what I thought, although Catalyst being all CG doesn't excuse the Lara's bad face.
And when I say bad, it looks flat and pasted on.
I hope it's just bad CG and the proper game Lara is the same as Atlantis.
But a CG version should be the same but better, it's very odd.
And where does Catalyst fit in, is it in the new timeline as Atlantis?
I can't help but think Catalyst was CD's main product and the Remake was ordered by their owners and they had to adjust their game in accordance.
Also Catalyst Lara is basically wearing the Survivor outfit.
Either way I giving Catalyst the benefit of the doubt because it only a CG trailer, also noticed Lara in Catalyst isn't doing any gymnastics like she does in Atlantis either, mainly jumping like the survivor trilogy....
Either way, Atlantis looks fantastic and this is nice surprise even if it was leaked.
 
Answered my own question. I watched trailers from the Survivor Trilogy and in this one Lara is wearing that green necklace. I think this soft confirms that Legacy of Atlantis features Survivor Lara.

So I believe that we have 5 games in chronological order with TR2013 > Rise > Shadow > LoA > Catalyst.

Neat.

Remade? This is the second time, original was 29 years ago and the Remake was 19 year's ago.
This will release on the 30th anniversary of the original and 20th of the Remake...
Where the fuck has time gone 😬
 
Going with the crowd here and will say that I think Atlantis looks much more interesting. Catalyst looks aggressively Modern Game: The Game and like a Michael Bay movie. Still chasing Uncharted.

Atlantis at least looks more OG Tomb Raider. It said pre-alpha and cinematics so my opinion is only that for now. Who knows how it'll play.

Ironically just finished playing one of the later Tibet levels in TR2 and cursed that bitch out for dying to icicles.
