Funny. I played T2 first and when I checked out T1 it looked like total ass without the charm of the sequel. First one looked like a prototype version in comparison.
I was just in love with tomba1 artstyle so that 3d graphic looked like absolute ass, also the beginning of the game just didn't felt good.
If the remake the second one aswell i'm gonna play it.
I doubt it can be as good as the first one tho, that one just had a particular charm.

Sony gets more open with multiplatform releases it seems.
Fren, are you really arguing that a sprite-based, slow-as-molasses point-n-click SNES adventure with some horror elements has so much of a better chance at sales on Xbox in 2023 than a PlayStation platformer, that the second one is just skipping a release on the system altogether? When the same company is behind the release of both? When the same company is also rereleasing Gex, and that one is coming to Xbox?
I mean, I've all but resigned myself to devs and publishers skipping Xbox just because, but

I only got to(I think) this level in the PS1 demo-CD I borrowed:

But I remember thinking that it had a certain charm and looked quite good.
I later happily found and bought Tombi 2 and it was with its 2.5D not a looker to put it mildly:

But the gameplay and events/quests were quite challenging and fun so it's one of my favourite PS1 games. I'm really looking forward to play the whole Tombi 1 game and I hope the gameplay is as fun as the sequel. But nevertheless this kind of game is so unique so I'll enjoy it anyway.
August 1!
Actually mr. butane bob, that's how we've all been playing it for the past 20 years.Do none of you know how to use emulators?
Almost a year later, but Tomba was never a Sony game like many people seem to believe. It's a Japanese game (published by developer Whoopee Camp itself) that SCE simply picked up for release in the West, pretty much like Final Fantasy VII back in the day.I'm a bit surprised it's coming to Switch since I thought Sony owns the IP?
August 1!
Any talk of enhancements or improvements?
Trailer was basically the opening FMV of the game, little other detail.
Tomba! turned PlayStation-era platforming on its ear. Tomba! 2 refined that brilliant design, adding even more freedom of movement, incorporating more inspiring new quests, and throwing in a flying squirrel suit for good measure. In Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return, you'll guide a taller, more chiseled Tomba through a gauntlet of grueling challenges in a quest to save his sweetheart from the clutches of vile feral pigs.
Stay tuned for more details about Tomba! 2 Carbon Engine release!
Tomba 2 is fantastic. I am definitely picking up both of these.I tried tomba 2 for like 1 hour and the artstyle was so offputting compared to the first one that i bailed out.
Is the game as good as the first one leavong the graphic aside?
