Tomorrow will be a BIG day.

Take-Two's earnings announcement. They are notoriously close mouthed, but they HAVE to talk about the next fiscal year's expectations, which may require divulging more info than we'd normally get. We should get a crapload of news, IMHO.

1) GTA: SA shipment updates along w/some sellthrough numbers.

2) The NFL/EA announcement and how they plan on moving forward with ESPN and Take2/Rockstar Sports.

3) PSP. They've said at least 2 games for launch and maybe 4 within 2-3 months. Dare we hope for a GTA:SA on the PSP? We've got racing games, but could easily get Midnight Club. I expect them to bet heavily on PSP for next year.

4) Xbox/Xenon. Probably too early to comment on GTA for Xbox, but to what level are they going to continue to support the Xbox and how big are they going to support Xenon during it's launch window?

5) Updates on the PS2 business for next year. Midnight Club, Warriors, Max Payne, etc

6) Consolidation will happen next year, IMHO. We're getting close to the transition and that kills companies that have weaknesses. They won't say anything, but I could see them buying someone to make sure they are well prepared for next gen.

Finally, here's a little conspiracy theory that I thought was very interesting posted on the yahoo boards by el_asso_wipo_grande (a regular). It's interesting in that the end effect on Take-Two really is minimal and the effect on EA is huge. Probably not exactly what they were planning on, but it's not a bad turnout either. Are they shrewd enough to have done it on purpose?

I personally believe that the NFL deal is good for TTWO in the long run. It looks to me like the minimal investment they made in ESPM football caused EA to shell out $300 million (if you believe the published reports) for something they essentially already owned. If you can spend pennies to force your competitors to spend dollars you will do that all day long.

That is a good theory, but I'm thinking EA will take this elsewhere as well. Where I dunno. I do kow that they used to to a PC management game with some guy that programs it all, It was pretty fun with that. The thing is now, they include most, if not all of that, into the console games now, so that is a moot point. I just hope NFL Street plays better and that Madden becomes better from what I last played from them

But EA is still vacuuming in money like there's no tomorrow. Unless the forcing EA to spend money actually caused them to slip somewhere else, it doesn't seem to give any advantage to a competitor.

I was thinking Megaton or something. :D

But yeah this is still nice. Especially looking forward to anything related to Max Payne 3. Xenon launch title perhaps (XB+Xenon+PS2+PC)?
