Many people my age use the phrase "too busy". As in, "I'm too busy to read books" or "I'm too busy, this week, to go to the gym"
Most of these people are unmarried, nor do they have children. They don't work more than 60 hours a week.
Should they be saying they're too busied? Don't they just mean that they're setting an artificial priority?
I work with full-time parents and they are genuinely too busy for themselves. They have the responsibilites on the job - sometimes more. However. Without their time and attention, their offspring can... you know... die?
If they chose to go to the gym - instead of picking up their 12 yo daughter to go to danceclass - that's wreckless. If chose to watch another episode of Sherlock instead of feeding their kids - that's illegal.
Does this bother anyone else?
