Too Human 360

*yawn*

I might have been excited about this 2 years ago when they were working with Nintendo, but now?

I can care less.

Silicon Knights needs to prove themselves, because they still aren't a proven good developer to me

Wow, didn't take long for the ED haters to strike. Personally, I really liked ED. I guess this helps explain how they managed to double in size recently.

Awesome news but...How the hell do they expect to do a trilogy? They can't make ONE Too Human game in seven years...Now they expect three?

:lol Ramirez-owned.

Damn, who still cares? And a trilogy at that. Pathetic. Silicon Knights, give us something to make us believe in Too Human. Until then, just stop announcing it.

Your all missing the point, the question is does Microsoft get fat Dennis or Skinny Dennis...

Fat Dennis>>>> Skinny dennis

I bought ED, and I think it was the most painful game ever for me to finish. I fucking forced myself to out of principle, but damn, did I suffer.

I'm interested but have no plans on investing any excitement until SK proves themselves. Anything with RPG elements is still more than welcome on the 360 though so I'm pleased to see MS continuing to address an old Xbox problem.

Cute quote I found while reading up on the game.

“One of Nintendo’s wisest decisions thus far was to buy out Silicon Knights as a 2nd party developer. Silicon Knights develops games very, very slowly. However, this is terrific because while we may only get one game every one or two years, the quality surpasses most games on any console. A perfect example of the Nintendo difference.”

I love how unpredictable and volatile this industry can be sometimes. :)

Eternal Darkness still is my favorite game on GameCube. I'm glad to see Silicon Knights working with Microsoft on this series.

Hated ED. Argh My eyes. POS game

enjoyed MGS TTS.
Same here. I enjoyed MGS TTS albiet not as much as the original but I couldn't stand ED. Worst 16 hours ever. I forced myself to finish it as well and it was extremely painful. I kept it, but only as a reminder of how bad things can get.

:lol :lol

Heh, did we all buy ED when it first came out during the horrible GameCube drought, hate it, and only force ourselves to finish it because there was absolutely nothing else to play and we'd already wasted our money?

Cuz that's what I did.

"Hmm, there's nothing to play. Oh hey, Eternal Darkness is coming out. It's published by Nintendo and it's getting great reviews, how can I go wrong."

"Fuck!"

Silicon Knights is overrated beyond belief. Eternal Darkness was nothing special and they completly ruined Metal Gear Solid. Not looking forward to this.

For Me it was:

GAF : ED ROCKS ED ROCKS ED ROCKS

OD : WOOT .. orders

OD : gets game. Plays. WTF. POS. ANUS MONSTER. WTF. 2/3 way through.. I sold it.

huh? I didn't mind ED at all - i wasn't particularly hyped for it, and thought it wasn't that bad.

Yeah, Eternal Darkness was a huge disappointment for me. I wrote a semi-essay on it before, so it's no reason to do it again... but while it wasn't horrible by any means it was just super meh and they didn't go as far as they should have with the whole sanity concept.

They just gobbled Metal Gear Solid up and shat it out upon a proprietary mini disc, so fuck them for that.

ED had some kinda cool things going for it...but the gameplay was bland as fuck, RE collect items and use item + boring combat system = okay, but not great game. I really don't have much hope for the new X360 titles...maybe I'll be more impressed when they end up hitting.

Why does every dev who leaves Nintendo ends up with MS nowadays?
Anyway I liked ED. Decent game.

Please don't tell me that the "identifiable weapon" hype was SK. Please don't.

i thought ED was horrible too. But SK are not second rate, so im pleased with this news. More potential good games for 360 the better.

Surprised MS are backing this....

Oh well, its been a great day for Xbots i guess

JackFrost wrote a nice analysis of the flaws of Eternal Darkness. It isn't a terrible game; it's a mediocre game that tries to pursue some interesting ideas, but ultimately fails.

As far as this whole trilogy business, I suspect we'll only see one game.

i find it funny how much the xbox is trying to resemble a nintendo console.

I never did beat Eternal Darkness, but I liked it. If nothing else it demonstrated that SK is a very unique developer with some interesting ideas. The gameplay was nothing to write home about, but there were still some qualities to keep me engaged.

Hopefully Too Human is actually released this time

All they need is Factor 5, then buy Retro for next years e3
While that would be funny, they can't. Retro is no more buyable than NST or EAD is at this point. Wholly owned subsidiary/development house.

Retro's a Nintendo first party, they're not going anywhere.

And yeah, you know what? "Too Human" has been vaporware since, arguably, the first Playstation. Get the first one out, SK, then talk about making a trilogy.
