yeah it just took SK two generations...
A delayed game eventually comes out. But a bad game is bad forever.

EDITed for new hotness: ... until there's a Live patch to fix it.

Somebody's never heard of patches, lolamirite?

One of those I would have bet my car on that it will never materialize.

You're a good man.

To be honest, I was more impressed with the screens than the trailer. I think it's the animation, which sadly is likely to be a common complaint next generation I suspect.
The animation looks really great. The whole thing looks very slick, actually.

no, 2006 I thought is what they were planning. Though I wouldn't expect it until 2007 given Silicon Knight's track record of completing things as scheduled.

I figure we'll get a new too human game roughly each year from 2006 onwards. Every 18 months to be more accurate. So we'll get Too Human :Chapter of my anus sometime next year.. summer perhaps and the following october / november we'll get chapter 2 inside my anus followed and the conclusion late 2009 Chapter 3 leaving my anus.

That was all right. I remember seeing an ad for this game way back in an issue of Next-Gen where they had a feature on the Ultra 64, it's about time we saw some real footage. I like the style of the game, but the animations for swordguy were pretty weak and the game in general doesn't look so impressive. That thing with the guns was great, though.

This game has been around since the days of the original PlayStation.

Yes but this doesnt seem that share much with the old concept of playstation/GC game. Remember that CGI they showed at spaceworld???it looke more interesting than what we're seeing here, it had that Dune/BladeRunner atmosphere that this doesnt....i still remember one feature they talked about, you could log to "history computers" which had real history mixed with imaginary one and you could choose the year and read the main events of that year.....i doubt that this feature will remain for example, the game looks to be more action oriented that really adventure.

Zelda wtf? :lol

It's nice to finally see Too Human. Gives off a God of War vibe. Anyway they're planning a trilogy already? They must be pretty confident. And I can see why things didn't work out with nintendo. Silicon Night's approach is more like 'let's make a cool epic game with an awesome story and lots of action' while nintendo's approach to gaming is completely different, starting from gameplay and building on that with fun and interesting ideas.

Why do fansites still use wmv? Too lazy to get a real HD codec?

Oh wait, this is no fan site, it is MS. The same company that uses the archaic asp and active x. :lol

Is anyone else thinking Sci-Fi Zelda rip-off ???
No, but a Sci-Fi Eternal Darkness would fit. A number of the animations, effects and enemy types looked straight out of ED.

No, I think this looks far more interesting than the "baby in tube" and "ftman" shots we got way back in 2000. The dude with dreadlocks looked good then, though.

Glad to hear that Dyack is saying this isn't a simple shoot-em-up. Then again, after all the hyping Eternal Darkness got and the cuts made to MGS:TTS, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Looks very impressive. Though all cutscenes of course, but obviusly in real-time. Anyways, I can't wait to see how this actually plays and how it's different than any other action game.

The trailer is slick, but after ED I'll need to see game play before I get excited. And one has to wonder why this game has gone through so many drastic changes during itÂ’s absurdly long development.

I too hope that Dyack didn't have to sacrifice any of the story or interactivity of their original concept, though it would appear that that might have had to occur since the game does seem more focused on action as it is being presented to us now. Of course, if the game turns out to be Eternal Darkness with a cooler fighting system, I sure won't complain.

Looks good to me. My only problem is the story and setting of Too Human, Mass Effect and Goears of War seem a bit too alike.

What? They're about as different as you can get while still being sci-fi. Too Human is some kind of wierd futuristic war/mythology hybrid, Mass Effect seems more straight up aliens and space-faring sci-fi, and Gears of War has a horror undertone with an underground-dwelling race that tries to wipe everyone out.

I meant more of the whole "humanity fighting for it's survival" thing.

Said the MS employee.
I don't work for MS... WMVHD is superior now, until H.264 has more hardware acceleration. Still waiting for a better option for HD codecs...

That didn't look like the screenshots. What was that?

OMG was that a finishing move? Run!

A Nietzsche quote to start a video game trailer?

Oh well.....gotta justify the student loans for the BA I suppose.
It's like an homage to the thousands of movies that use quotes to look sophisticated as well as seventh grade English.

Damn, it looks awesome! I loved ED and Too human was very promising. Not quite what i thought it would be, it seems to have changed a LOT over the years.

They said it was a trilogy when they announced it for the 360 back in May. Nothing new about that.
Ah wasnt aware, I kinda stopped keeping track of SK since they moved the title. ;)
