"Two Heartbeats: Kabuto's Trap"
Sakura just can't deal with it! Orochimaru orders Kabuto to kill her but make sure she doesn't suffer.
FLASHBACK to the begining of the Sauce retrieval arc.
Sakura demands to know what Orochimaru did with Sasuke's nubile young body. He orders Kabuto to tell her as he makes his exit. Kabuto runs down what we all know from the end of the last arc; He couldn't wait any longer and used another strong young man's body. Sakura is glad and assumes that the Sauce is somewhere here but Kabuto warns her that not everyone prepared with the cursed seal lives, we get another FLASHBACK to the forst of death. Kabuto calls Sasuke nothing more than a memory. Sakura passes her bluff check. Kabuto keeps going though, saying that she'll join him in the afterlife.
Cue ridiculous panning up of Sakura's face interposed with memories of Sasuke including the one above. Sakura is crying and seeing Sasuke as Kabuto throws a kunai right between her eyes...and we fade to black.
Naruto stage right with a Kunai deflection! Kabuto is shook; he took a serious L last time these two met. Naruto cuts a promo here; when he makes promises he sees them through, brother, it's his ninja way! He tells Sakura to hide as he starts making Shadow Clones and taunting Kabuto. Kabuto responds by taking about ten Kunai out and whipping them at anything that moves. He's surrounded!
He's in a pinch! Oh wait a minute, Kabuto isn't some scrub; he does the Misty Flames Dance Jutsu which appears to be a spray of Kerosene out of his mouth, ignited by the various candles in the hallway. Naruto(s) on fire! Stop, drop, and roll!
Oh wait, that's the Rasengan noise. Kabuto is sent through multiple pillars. Handed another loss from the kid in the jumpsuit.
...or not. Chakra threads of fate. They are connected to each other's hearts, take that shippers.
If Kabuto dies, Naruto dies too. Naruto is of course shook by this. Two hearts beating as one! Kabuto promised his body to Lord Orocimaru, eat that Jaken!
Yep, that just happened. Sholololololololo. He squeezes, they both die. Let's die like lovers. Sakura has a plan but it's futile, Chakra is stronger than hemp!
Even Lady Tsunade couldn't rip those cords sister and you don't even lift.
Naruto cuts another promo. He doesn't need no stinking heart to beat a two time loser like Kabuto nor his master when he's got a promise to keep.
Kabuto is gonna do it, he's gonna kill him with...green stuff.
Enter Sasame with a spell tag of evil's bane. Cuts right through the thread. Two hearts no longer, their bond is BROKEN!
He's still down though!
Oh, right, Naruto still likes Sakura. What is Sasame doing here? Gamakichi too! Naruto explains how he was saved. He was going to drown up against the ceiling of the pitfall but Sasame found the room above him and accidenily opened the trap, allowing Naruto to float to the surface.
Chakra threads are a Fuma clan secret technique which is why she knew how to counter it. Naruto does some quick detective work here and figures out...
It was Aizen all along! Wait no, Eureka. She was a Fuma Jonin. Where is her cousin? Where is the Sauce? Eureka is talking about how "close" the cousins were and how it would be better if she didn't see him in his current state!
Cut to a rather Orochimaru looking fellow in a chair...who says Sasame. We know where this is going, a filler screw job.
What lies behind the gate, the truth? It opens on its own! Out walks Fakamaru. Another damn mask. It's not the Irashi you knew...
It's the other two filler villains combined into one Resdient Evil monster!

The other threads usually didn't have popular shows on the chopping block in the second round.
In this case just being unknown is an advantage. People are going to vote for shows they know and don't like, not shows that are super obscure like Storm Hawks.

This filler arc really hasn't been that bad, animation has mostly been decent and the story has mostly felt like something that could happen

I can only recall one other survivor thread (90s cartoons) and that wasn't 'ugly' to my knowledge. I only read the thread sporadically though so maybe there were some rough patches I missed.
Survivor threads are fun and work as long as people don't let their personal attachments to certain programs override having a good time. Betrayaltrons and alliance building seem to be part of the game (and fun!) but back ally tactics and name calling sour the experience. Like I said earlier, nobody is going to be happy with the order of the final list but it doesn't necessarily indicate quality. If you're going to get upset over people knocking things out early then refrain from participating, it's all in good fun.
Toonami man..serious business.

Bishie is sorta made up lingo for bishonen aka the pretty boys of anime, they might look really girly/feminine or just really handsome compared to the rest of the cast, think of kurama from yu yu hakasho, he is the pretty boy with eccentric tastes and if you listen to his japanese voice, he is voiced by a woman(who voices kurapika who is also a bishie).
Shipping is pretty much what everybody does, even if they dont realize it/deny it, its basically when you pair a character up with another character, if you want naruto to be with hinata and not sakura or vice versa, you are shipping them, some fandoms take shipping more seriously than others, aka the avatar fandom. Sometimes the people of the show or the written material might humor their readers by subtlety and sometimes not so subtlety shipping characters even when the author knows they may or may not end up with eachother.

that happened a ton in the other thread and is more or less what it devolved into, as well as shit like going into other threads to drum up support when people were unhappy with what was about to be voted off or posting fake vote tallies. i mean it was fun at times, but that thread got really goddamn annoying with the way people were handling it.
