Despite how shit the pacing is, especially during these early parts, I prefer shippuden to OG naruto.

immortals arc is one of my favorites for the series.

Basically, he's 2nd in command of the allied forces

Yeah he gets a pretty fucking huge roll later on aswell as fight some pretty powerful people that gives him further character development.
