It really makes the pacing of many of the other shows look especially bad. A shame Toonami is dominated by those types of shows but ratings are ratings.

Well GL is like 26 episodes, its short enough as to not go on forever like shonen manga, and long enough to not rush what its doing and end up with a half baked ending because the manga wasent anywhere near done.

Rewatching deadman wonderland some years later, aka now, the first 3 episodes or so have felt pretty different from the more shonen turn its doing now, I mean we always knwe those powers were there, but it didnt concentrate almost at all on them except for a few moments here or there.
