I feel like this is unfortunately something Super ultimately ends up falling short on going forward.

The movies set up Beerus as more or less being the "Hisoka" to Goku's Gon. Someone who saw potential in Goku as a future worthy adversary. But Super mostly relegates Beerus to comic relief going forward.
