that's more like the show I wanted to see based on the first episodes

I think I can safely look forward to Gurren Lagann again

though I'm not sure the point of adding like thirty other characters if Simon and Kamina are going to be the only ones doing anything

it almost feels like they took a much longer story with a bunch of characters and then compressed the SHIT out of it to make the show
