I'm expecting Asta to have a male VA. It's pretty rare for Funimation to go the female route unless the male character is really young (or Black Star.)
It'd be fitting if he had the same VA as Bakagou.

Yeah...it definitely makes sense with HxH, which is probably why I'm expecting it for Black Clover a show with a brain dead screaming protag I probably won't watch.

I'd say so yeah. With Funimation outside of the kids from Dragon Ball, I can only think of Black Star, Alphonse in FMA Brotherhood, and the MC from Assassination Classroom. Though with the last one, the character was also androgynous .
