The more I listen to this band, the more I'm blown away by Jerry Cantrell. Amazing that he can go from the loud, chugging riffs of 'Man in the Box' or 'Grind' to some of the most beautiful, tasteful and soulful guitar playing you'll ever hear in 'Rotten Apple' and 'Nutshell'.
Staley's voice can sometimes grate on me, but he makes up for it with genuine emotion. He brings you into his world with his vocals, and it's a very dark & depressing place.
Your top 10? Or top 5, if you're lazy.
