I like my Duke. I still use it. Just because half you cowards have little girlie hands...

Yeah, I use it too. I don't like the S controller at all. The 360 pad's alright.

Yet the Duke still has the best analog triggers for racers.

i DEFINITELY prefur the DC triggers, especially for racers. i havent played any fighters w/ the Duke but i think id like its dpad better than the DC.

Wow I remember wanting this really bad back in the day...

I had that exact pad... got it as a christmas gift way back when... Man what a piece of shit.

Touch sensitive d-pad my ass.... unresponsive little bumps you had to push hard on just to move. I thoroughly enjoyed smashing that thing to shit.

I can't believe they didn't mention the Konix Speedking.
Good ergonomics, unless you needed to press the fire button rapidly.

Shit dude I love the DC pads too. :)
But they always feel like theyre about to break whenever I exert alot of pressure on them-thankfully its never happened yet.

Microsoft just further extended on Sega's pad, which is a big reason why I latched onto the XBox early on. Microsoft just carried on what Sega had with the triggers-in that they had even more depth in them, and man was it sweet for games like PGR.

depth was there and the controller felt solid, but my hands just cant hold them right. not that the DC controller feels right either, but it feels a lot better for me. maybe thats too specific to my hands, but im sure other people got that horrible feeling in their wrists. to each his own really applies to controllers.

re number 1.

On top of this, the company utilized a VGA plug for its controller ports, and the controller plugs simply fell out if a mouse farted somewhere in the house.

:lol

That's right, symmetry and logic did go out the door http://smilies.vidahost.com/otn/tongue/yeltongue.gif[/IMG[/QUOTE]

Gamecube's analog stick has more degrees of sensitivity by far than the PS2's. That means Luigi, in Luigi's Mansion, can actually go from a tip-toe to a run with greater ease than Solid Snake can in Meta Gear.

And I don't remember MGS having any troll characters, so whats the deal Leech?

The Jag controller wasn't that bad and their thing about it coming unplugged..?.. I never had that problem. It just needed more face buttons.

. And i don't happen to like the GC controller. Simple.

YEAH. I'm not referring to the avatar, I'm referring to you. You might want to try and back up your arguments by at least saying its no good for fighting games or something. Or you can stop derailing the thread by leaving. :lol

Yeah thats true,it all comes down to comfort. If youe going to spend that many hours with a pad its got to feel damn good otherwise you'll be adjusting to more than you should.

Getting back to the DC pad...man I loved the analog on it. It felt so damn solid when you roled your thumb over it. I remember playing Sonic and JetGrind radio for hours and its feel was always great. Until that point I was a freak for the N64's analog,I never thought it would be topped since it had just the perfect amount of tention and feel in it back then. Sega saw what worked for Nintendo's and made theirs even better,in my opinion.

You always hear a group complaning, "oh no brand X just took brand Y's design..." :)

Yaknow in the end..who really cares? I have no problem with any company copying one another because in the end if it gives me a better feel for the games I play.

It's a thread about bad controllers and i posted one, how is this derailing or throwing the thread off-topic? And i did back up my argument, and at least one person agreed with me. I'm confused...

dude, it had nothing to do with the size, but the horrid ass button layout. buttons sucked too come to think of it.
And the S controller's retarded and illogical button placement is better?

Symmetry and logic, where art thou?

symmetry and logic seem to be the main reasons for liking the GC controller.

the levels of analouge, the way it fits to your hand perfectly, button placement. for games requiring no more than four buttons, its ACE. also, its made in a way to prioitize functions. It obviously isnt perfect for ALL games but the fact of the matter is that it is designed entirely from a logical point of view.

Eh... your "argument" is quite a stretch. The lack of symmetry on the face buttons is greatly overshadowed by what is possibly the best analog stick (don't have extensive 360 experience yet) and the most comfortable handles on the market. I'll never the deny that the GC controller is seriously flawed, but it's pretty insane to insist that there are not 10 controllers out there stupider than it.

EDIT: \/\/\/ I loled.

Being comfortable and having a good analog stick didn't do anything for Capcom vs. SNK 2.

So true. I despise the GC controller. RE4 was unplayable for me.

Unplayable? Um, because the buttons were in a slightly different orientation?

Well they could've just released a snes controller with some extra shoulder buttons, would that've made you guys happy? ... oh, wait.

Also, anything with this on it:
