I was sort of hoping a cockpit view with all the buttons and levers would have been the way this game would be played, sort of like that submarine demo.

That would've been pretty interesting.

Never the less, this game looks pretty blah.
 
Ah yes, once again shoe horning DS extra touch screen into a regular game instead of making a game around the DS's unique abilities. This is why i'm upset with the DS software because of all this lazy crap. They could have used the touch screen as a cockpit view with unique controls and actual flight sim feel streamlined with intensity from Top Gun, but nah, lets just make it a map screen.

They shoulda used the bottom screen for cockpit view with buttons, and the top screen for radar and other stuff. Mastiff isn't exactly a good developer though.

I am not 100% certain so no holding me to this, but I believe for Top Gun they're doing some of the base work internally and the rest of everything else is being outsourced to various places. Either they're writing the base code and someone else is creating assets, or vice versa...
 
With all the gages, levers, buttons, switches, dials, and controls in an airplane.... we get a crappy map for the touch screen.

What a crappy game.
