Player models could be better, but I love the racket look, the wear of the paint on the ground, etc.

EDIT - the models are fine actually, looks more like the texturing could be better (though one close up shot of a shirt looks good too, but the one in red looks bad, so I'm not 100% on this)... though maybe in motion, with the clothes rippling, it could look sweet.

This was like the best sports game MS made and easily the best tennis game ever. Well done MS for whoring out your only decent sports game.

I can't wait for this game, right now it looks like an Xbox title but the gameplay was great before so I'm sure they will be focusing on the graphics for the next 5 months. I certainly hope this is a 360 launch title.

Offline it was 60fps but Online it suffered, the lag made it appear to run < 30fps. I dont know if they limited it to 30fps online ?

If they can clean up the netcode for better connections and get rid of the cheese in the game and stat glitches this will be great once again. I look forward to regaining my top 50 singles ranking on Live when this is released.

We went head-to-head in Top Spin 2 and noticed that there were visible jaggies and a few frame drops. This is because the Alpha units do not run anti-aliasing and simply don't have the power to run a high-res game at full quality. The developers had tuned Top Spin 2 to run at a smooth 60 frames per second but this was simply not possible on the Alpha hardware.

I'm less concerned with the "looks" of the game as I am with the playing. I hope some of the anoying problems with the original Topspin are taken care of...no cheesy serves, no impossible topspin shots that are almost un-returnable etc. It's all about how well the game plays and not how realistic it looks.
