Top XBox Live Arcade sellers

Poor Robotron and Backgammon.

Wait, are these ranked by # sales or $ sales? If $, then that'd explain why Billiards (1200 point game) is so high, and 4 400 point games are not on the list.

(reads article), its by #, wow, suprised at Billiards.

And poor Mutant Storm Reloaded. It is just as good as Geometry Wars in many ways, and the co-op play is great.

Does anyone besides me actually have Backgammon?

Bankshot Billiards is also given away with the Xbox Live 360 starter kit.

The 360 starter kit isn't a bad purchase. For $69.99 you get:

12 month subscription card
20 dollars off any 360 game mail in rebate
Bankshot Billiards
Headset (Spare now for me!)

IGN doesn't say how these are tracked. If it is by units or dollar amount or number of full version unlocked.

I know one of the devs on Outpost Kaloki X said sales were above what they expected... I'm sure they would like the number 1 spot, but at least things have been going in the right direction.

Also, we're not even 8 weeks into the consoles lifespan. Unlike retail games, I think XBL Arcade games will tend to have a longer shelf life. There really is no retail out there trying to get rid of the old stock so new stock can fit on the shelves. So I don't think sales numbers will rise sharply and fall swiftly like they do in the NPD.

I'm happy the top 3 are 400 point games. I can't help but buy 400 point games that don't involve cards :D

Is the maximum cost for an Arcade title capped at 1200 pts right now?

Anyone think SFII may be more than 800 pts?

Yeah I don't know why Microsoft and/or the developers of Bankshot Billiards think their game is worth that much, but whatever.

What's interesting is that some of these games will surely pass retail Xbox 360 games in sales.

There's no official cap, but I believe going passed the 1200 mark, the game will have to be something extra special.
