>> Visor?
“It's very easy to copy.” Nintendo
>> Visor?
“Not just a portable, not just a console - it's exactly what we wanted in that it's the birth of a completely new platform.” Wada
>> Visor?
“You say you want a Revolution? Well, what we are working on may not have any direct relation to gameplay. It is a way of connecting the controller, the console, the TV and the internet. It is not what you are playing, but how you are playing.” Iwata
>> Visor?
The Nintendo Revolution is a "wireless console", which has 4 main pieces:
console - controller - accumulator - and a visor.
Why is the console so small?
Where is the new GameBoy (since over 5 years there is only the "Advance Generation")?
Why don't they take part at the battle of the horse power?
It's the revolution!
What is the revolution?
It is the fusion of a portable and stationary home console. No, even better: It is the fusion of a portable and a stationary entertainment system!
How is this possible?
The Revolution can connect to a TV and also to a visor. In addition, it has a accumulator - in form of a white / grey base.
Is this technically possible?
Yes, look at the PS2 and PSP. The PSP ist also called the portable PS2!
Nintendo has his Game Cube and as Matt (IGN) once said, Nintendo wanted to develop a portable GameCube.
Does Nintendo want to deliver horse power? No? So, why shouldn't this be possible?

This new revolutionary system would be also a revolution in the music and film business. Imagine you can watch movies everywhere in a new revolutionary way.
Nintendo said, they want to create a new market - as in the 80's with the NES? They would do it with this system!
"We really want to present our interface, the controller, with software AS A PACKAGE." Miyamoto
>> Only as "package" this new entertainment system would be a revolution, wouldn't it?
"Well, what we are working on MAY NOT HAVE ANY DIRECT RELATION TO GAMEPLAY. IT IS A WAY OF CONNECTING the controller, the console, the TV and the internet. It is not what you are playing, but how you are playing." Iwata
>> I've talked about a new way of connection, which hasn't a direct realtion to gameplay, haven't I?
So, think about it - I'm serious!

It's probably a fake, but if it turns out to be real - or something like the real one, then I'm not disappointed at all.olimario said:

to be able to play conventional games as Nintendo claims it can, it'd need the face buttons or suitable substitutes to do so. Gyro control, and high degrees of variable feedback (which might guide a player) would be very very simple though. They could have left it at that but decided speaker/mic, screen attachment and GBA/SD slots would make it more believable. Which isn't the case.

I don't know :lolAmir0x said:I can't see it either, but it's probably a fake so why would you care? That's the real question!
It could be a foriegn document translated by someone whose English isn't fantastic.Amir0x said:And, uh, there's tons of grammatical errors.
It'd be fun if Sp*ng was ever right about anything they've ever posted.

I'm not saying it's real, it's just that there's nothing jumping out at me that lets me say at this point that it's a definite fake.
How about the microphone and speaker (because for some reason those would be the exact same device) being shown in the schematic on the opposite side of the controller that it is shown on in the first design study.Kobun Heat said:I'm not saying it's real, it's just that there's nothing jumping out at me that lets me say at this point that it's a definite fake.
Amir0x said:Simplicity? No.
And it doesn't jive with Teddman's "it looks just like a Wavebird", 'cause of that lame Magnetic touch thingy on the front which is instantly distinguishable.
Lots of grammatical errors.
Nintendo never leaks shit.

Kobun Heat said:1) Nobody ever said the controller was "simple."
2) This looks just like a Wavebird.
3) Could have been hastily translated from a foriegn tongue
4) The DS specs leaked before the official announcement.
Actually that was one of the things that stood out to me when I first saw the pics. I thought back to what Teddman had said and realized the controller fits the description of what he saw.Kobun Heat said:2) This looks just like a Wavebird.
Amir0x said:2) No it doesn't. It has a huge fucking magnetic touch screen in the center. If Teddman saw that and said "Wow, just like a Wavebird" we can now assume he's blind.
Ristamar said:Not that I think this is real, but I believe others have mentioned that the controllers in the dev kits don't necessarily represent the final product. If you stripped the new features from the controller in the PDF, it would pretty much look like a Wavebird.
Kobun Heat said:I see nothing here that would make me 100% dismiss this as fake. That's all I'm saying. If somebody comes around and says "Ha ha, I made this, gotcha" then fine.
Are we looking at different pictures? I'm just looking at the pics in this thread and I see nothing of the sort.argon said:It quite clearly says "Playstation: The first home-use game console to ship a cumulative 100 million units worldwide."
argon said:Look at the first quote of the Sony document
Now, look at first part of the obscured text in the supposed Rev document.
It quite clearly says "Playstation: The first home-use game console to ship a cumulative 100 million units worldwide."
The rest of the article follows the Sony document exactly, as far as I can tell. That's proof enough thats its a complete fake.
