Transfering media onto 360 question

DAMN YOU BILL

OK so I've picked up a 360 (JPN) and I want to get my MP3s onto it. As my manual is all in Japanese (and my comprehension isn't great) I've got no idea how to transfer my music across.

The tools I have: Apple Mac, iPod, USB Camera with 2GB memory stick.

-I've tried LANing the Mac and the 360 together, doesn't work, so I doubt Bill wanted that to happen.
-My iPod just has firewire so I can't plug that in (do I need a USB cable?)
-My Camera connects fine and I can play music from the memory stick but I can't copy anything across.

So, what's the simplest solution to getting my music across?

Cheers GAF

EDIT: Oops, should have put this in off topic

You have to rip CDs to the HD. That is the only way to get music onto it from what I understand.

Wow, really? I already wasted a day of my life doing that with my Xbox, not going to do that again! ;)

If you're connected to LIVE then most music will name itself, which combined with the faster drive, saves alot of time over the Xbox :)

Xbox took 20-25 minutes to rip a CD?

360 takes 3-4 minutes and every track will have their name on it.

i have a question alongthe same lines... the other day i hooked up my digi-cam. the 360 recognized it and i could browse my pictures, but i couldnt for the life of me figure out how to actually copy them to the hdd. litle help?

Sorry to thread hijack, but I have a similar question as well. I have my 360 and PC connected. Can I stream iTunes over it and if so, how? Thanks in advance.

iTunes is an application that plays mp3s, CDs etc.. Not sure why you'd want to stream that.

Well, I have a fair amount of music stored in my iTunes. Is it possible to streak any internet radio stations?

You can stream radio with a Media Center PC, but it's al;so possible to haxor a radio station into a playlist and do it that way with just media connect. It's been mentioned on here before so a search should find it.

As a side note, is there any technical reason why the 360 can't stream videos off a standard Windows XP PC. Or is this just Microsoft trying to sell more Media Center PCs?

I'd even be happy with just transfering the files over to the 360 hard drive before playback.

^^

Codecs, codecs, codecs and $$$

Playing a sub set of a user's total video content is almost more frustrating than not being able to play any of it.

XBMC is where it'll be at for quite some time.
