Trauma Center, how is it?

I'm going to be mostly away from home the next week or so, so I want to grab another portable game to play. I have Phoenix Wright (DS 2005/2006 GOTY), Castlevania, and Mario Kart for my DS at the moment. I've been thinking about Mario and Luigi 2, since I love the original GBA game. But most people say PiT is TEH SUX0RZ. So I think I shall skip on it.

I've been intrigued by Trauma Center, but is it a decent game? Does it keep you glued to your portable screen as you play? I'm a pinball fan too, so I'm debating between this and Metroid Prime Pinball! Although MPP will probably be sold for years, whereas Trauma Center will more than likely be gone in 3 months. How is the game and woth 30 BUX?

I just got it... so far its fun as hell!

I also got Trace Memory today but havent tried it out yet, but yeah Tramua Center is really fun. A good bit of blood too. :p

It's a fantastic game. When it all comes down to it, the game is an ultimate test of your reflexes, hand-eye coordination, etc... It's a DS must-own in my opinion, but be sure to pick it up pretty soon. I don't see this game being out there to purchase for much longer at all.

Ahhhhhh, i've been playing it recently.

It's good, but it's rather difficult. Certain operations will make you want to throw your DS across the room. Oddly enough, when I beat those missions, I don't feel satisfied, I feel lucky. In a game like Ninja Gaiden, when you beat a really hard boss you feel this little jolt of satisfaction. I just don't get that with this game.

It also seems like there are certain operations you can't get an A rating on no matter how fast and how perfect you work. Maybe I just suck. *shrug*

It's a good game, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it like Phoenix Wright.

Really good. One of my favorite DS titles.

I haven't gotten back to it in a few days, but I think I was getting near the end, and I was really enjoying it. The gameplay is interesting and unique, and even the anime hospital drama banter has it's charm.

Pretty kickin.
I dug the story, which sort of strikes an anime/E.R. type vibe, the gameplay is quite addicting, and its fun as heck.
Really, really difficult though. But not unfairly so, the toughest operations can be cleared by formulating a good strategy, moreso then relying on twitch skills, even though those are important too. Its really good stuff and I can easily recommend it.

In before Demi's BZZT.

Yes. It has solid gameplay, and provides one of the most intense handheld experiences I have ever had.

Get it before it's gone. Definitely worth 30 bucks.

I've been playing it on the train for the last four weeks and every time I arrive at the station I think "are we there already?". It's the kind of game that makes you forget about the time. I have to admit that it gets a little repetative after a while but it's a very nice game.

Why do you think Trauma Center won't be available as long as MPP?

amazing. great gameplay, interesting storyline.

sometimes hard to get a good grade though unless you have a perfectly steady hand. which no one does.

Trauma Center is my favorite DS game so far (besides Mario Kart). It has innovative and old school gameplay. It's fucking addictive!

The word is that it will be discontinued like Castlevania and Phoenix Wright.

ATLAS, you know.

As I already said, I thought it was a Nintendo game, because they publish it in Europe.

And it's Atlus, not Atolas :)

Very nice game. Sometimes the missions get fucking impossible, but I know I felt satisfied when I finally finished them. It usually only took my 2 or 3 tries to get a C though. :P

Trauma Center is fun and challenging. It's one of my fave DS games, despite being a little repetetive towards the end. The touch screen mechanics are well done and there's a real sense of satisfaction to getting "cool" rankings on your technique during the operation. If you do decide to pick TC up, you might want to consider purchasing a screen protector to go along with it -- this game uses the touch screen heavily. I'm pretty sure I scratched my touch screen on one of the later missions (didn't notice the scratch for a few days, but I'm pretty sure it was Trauma Center that did it).

I just picked this up tonight.

Game rocks beyond belief. Best use of the dual screens/touchscreen!

Two DS games I really like now. Both unconventional to what I normally play.

It is strange, I'm disappointed by the conventional DS games I own (Castlevania and especially Mario kart sux0r of the year) but I love the unconventional games in my DS lineup which I normally wouldn't play (Phoenix Wright, Trauma Center).

Trauma Center rewards players for incomplete gameplay.
You just suck at it. :)

I've gotten all S ranks in the game (even on the X missions)

I've been working on perfect ratings on and off lately
