My girlfriend is enrolled in a Jazz Dance class and is incredibly sore after class and can't seem to shake it. It's been two weeks and is still sore. Now this is seriously effecting my sex life. Is there anything that she can do before class (she's already stretching) or maybe after class as far as treating the soreness? Is she (and me) doomed for the next 15 weeks?

Plus, it'll advance your sex life as well.

Stetching afterwards is always a good idea. As she gets use to the exertion, it'll bother her less. Just needs to let her muscles adapt.

I'm not trying to derail the thread, but what about if you have muscle cramps after exercising? I tend to get lots of craps in my calves after doing a combination of running on the treadmill, elipitcal trainer, and stairmaster as a cardio workout routine in the evenings. I've been stretching afterwards but I still cramp up after lying down for a while. It can be a bit annoying when I'm just lying there trying to unwind so I can go to sleep and then have my calves clamp up. My parents suggested I try calcium supplements since that's what their doctor advised them when they workout. But I'm not sure if that sort of thing is more to help out when you get older or if it works regardless of age. Is there any other sort of remedy that can alleviate leg cramps that can be done in addition to the good advice of stretching afterwards? Thanks.

Potassium within an hour after the exercise also helps, go eat a banana or something

Cramps usually come from dehydration. Hydrate them muscles, boi!

Well I drink about a 1/2-1 L while working out and then eat dinner with another 1L of water not that long after I exercise, but maybe I could stand to drink more (I do sweat a lot). Also I've heard about that suggestion about potassium as well. I normally eat a banana in the morning but if it would help I guess I could have one w/ dinner as well (or take a potassium supplement). Thanks for the advice :)
