Trek nerd question - How long would it take a man to get back to Alpha Quadrant?

Kirk - They'd all die beacuse Kirk wouldn't leave until he'd banged every woman in the Delta Quadrant.

Picard - He'd also never home because he'd explore out the other direction...into the empty space between our galaxies.

Sisco - 6 hours tops. Fuck the Ocampas.

Picard would have given the anomoly that took them to the delta quadrant a stern look and it would heve left them alone.

Sisko would have found a way to help the ocompans and gotten back to the alpha quadrant just in time to destroy more dominion ships about the attack the station.

Then he'd go bang President Palmer's ex wife.

Kirk: A week tops. The Enterprise would find some energy being to help them, some technology that will work just long enough to bring them home, or a device that makes Scotty super smart so he invents Trans Warp.

Picard: Whenever Q shows up.

Sisko: Would return once his life is in danger, as the Prophets would transport him back to save him.

Janeway: About 7 years. Would probably run into The Borg, and maybe a future version of herself.

Special connections with wormhole aliens is cheating.

Well, Janeway could have been home in 6 hours too had she chosen to use the array before it blew up. Course then the Kazon would move in on the Ocampas.

You'd think they could have done some time delay explosives or something :)

Sisco faced a similar situation in the episode where the Defiant crash lands and they meet their descendents. The crew is torn on whether to stay so the colony can continue to exist (opening a self fulfilling paradox) or to leave and the people would never exist. He says screw em, I'm responsible to my crew and their families.

Then he wusses out and gets sentimental planting trees and decides to stay.

Well Sisko also had to face that the ship crashed and crated this new civilization. They'd be changing history to do otherwise.

Thankfully Odo wanted Kira to live and sabotaged the ship so they went back, and the series continued :p

Sisko proved his non-wussyness when he and Garak tricked the Romulan Empire into joining the war,

Seems to me that a fwe of you forget that in the episode of DS9 where the ship crashes into that planet, that they decide in the end to stay, but the future Odo sabotages the ship so Kira won't die.

Its simple Q on a drunken rampage will travel to the Stargate universe and kidnap an Asgard mothership and lose it where whatever trek crew will find it! It'll take em 30 seconds to get back!
